Got to be better experience than John Souttar, there really has.

How much would he cost, do we think?

Darling & Burns seem the obvious choices to sign to me, with that Spurs CB coming in on loan too (Hardy?).

Would love to see Gray given a go.

depends what his personally reasons for missing last week were I suppose, was it a short term thing or something serious taking him away from the squad

It’s nice having someone competent in charge isn’t it. Wonder what Jon is up to? Scratching his balls in a big office somewhere?

Would’ve liked to keep him, but in all honesty £10m for him with his injury record and remaining book value is ridiculously good money for him. Fair play for sticking to our guns for the fee. Hopefully we bring in  well thought out replacements!

I find it interesting that Harry Souttar wants to leave and his brother coming in. Why would he recommend his brother to come? Unless he hates him lol

It’s definitely a weird one

Harry has a thing for Sheffield, he had a good time there and has never seemed to settle here so kind of makes sense for him especially since were League one and he’s got a better chance of Prem football long term with them at the moment.
John looks desperate for a new start and we’re still a kind of good opportunity for an out of favour Aussie in Scotland.

Think we can see why Russell wants him.. We know he likes his teams to be able to pass.

He is either better with the ball than we give him credit for, or those in Scotland just give him all the time in the world.

Shock horror always felt this deal would get done, think this will create a little domino effect that sees us bring in 2 CB’s reckon both deals already in place and will move at pace to be in next 24 to 48 hours

Harry Souttar isn't a quick centre-back, as far as I can tell.

How much slower is his brother then?

And for the people complaining about speed as an asset for a centre-back: Remember Wes Morgan? Or Robert Huth?

When's the last time we had "fast" CBs? Were they any good?

Having a reliable CDM in front of our back four would certainly help. Skipp, however... *cough*

So John is better than Harry in pretty much all aspects, just a few inches shorter?

Percy bomb

cant help but think £10m is a good deal (although leaves us short)

Get him gone if he wants out. We need players here that are committed to the cause. We don’t need a repeat of last season. And £10m is good business, as long he gets replaced, and not by his fvcking shit older brother.

Gray can pass, step out of defence and quite nimble when I’ve seen him. Surprised he hasn’t had much game time pre season…

That chart is in comparison to Okoli.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, think I’d rather have Faes start than Okoli

Do you not understand RM's tactics???

Morgan and Huth would also be terrible in this system

3 working days before the first game. This is a real problem. 10m is stupid money for him - take that and run because we wont be getting that 6 months into L1. Dont rate him other than in a deep block - not what we need and wherever he goes he will be an injury ticking time bomb.

Obvs Nelson injury complicates things further, but Russell really bigged Souttar up and gave him the captaincy for a reason. This wont go down well.

Gray barely got a sniff in preseason. Starting him this game is a massive risk (Aluko vs Southampton levels of risk). He should have featured more, and think this one is going to come back to bite us.

Okoli is terrible levels of sh1t, Faes cant step in the dressing room again, and no way are Leicester City signing 2 new fir and prepared (and good enough) center backs in the next day or so, ready for first team action.

Jeeze, this is pretty terrible.
