Bit weird and it's always a shame to see players on the fringes not quite make the breakthrough but at least we're selling academy players we might not quite rate – rather than letting them stagnate here until they can draw a pension. I don't really think this is particularly outrageous.

Well, good for him to get out of this mess.

Really weird move from us though. He's gone to a club who finished 4th in League One last season, I think? So effectively "strengthening" our rivals if he ends up any good.

Would’ve preferred to have kept him and had him as a squad option whilst moving on Winks, Skipp and Choudhury

Only 1 year on his contract though and if he wasn’t really wanting to sign a new contract as a squad player and had the option of being a starter in the same league for a decent side fair enough

Least it was some money rather than our usual letting them walk for free

We’re really short on bodies and physicality- he provides both. Braybrooke couldn’t get in at Dundee, the lack of Falkirk minutes isn’t a stick to beat him with.

200k for him or whatever would be fine if we don’t then spend £850k on an equivalent (older) player start 11 times instead.

Fair play to him. Looking on transfermarkt Bradford don’t currently have a single CM on the books, so will probably fancy his chances of playing more there.

Also would’ve been behind: Skipp/ Braybrooke/ Page/ Hamza and Winks atm for a CM spot with us.

it does suggest a few of them are staying… Braybrooke, page and Hamza, I’m guessing… possibly one of the other two also..

This has Ipswich (Hirst) written all over it. do t understand why we sell to people in the same league as us yet other team hardly ever do this.

Hirst has hardly gone up to pull up any trees. Was a decent fee at the time as well

Good luck to him. Never seen anything from him to suggest hes good enough to make it here but hopefully he’ll carve out a good career for himself.

He’s joining a team that will be a divisional rival. He’s good enough for us now.

If theres a single player at Bradford good enough to play in our first 11 come September 1st then id be very concerned
