Someone is spreading rumours for their own gain. Probably for clicks.

 

As most people are pointing out it is highly unlikely we are really close to administration right now. I don't think we'd have been allowed to do the transfer work if we were in that much danger. 

 

However, if we don't get out of league 1 this season...

I've long thought any prospective new owners would need to have some link to Thailand for the sale to be ratified and i've landed upon the family of Bloor Homes and Triumph as suitable candidates.

 

Triumph has a big link with Thailand and the wealth of these companies and it's owners is on par with those who tend to get involved in owning football clubs.

 

There's been rumours they had no interest years ago, but that may have changed. I'm probably barking up the wrong tree though.

Top doesn’t do the accounting jobs at the club ! 

 

the financial director has a fiduciary duty and cannot just ignore a situation of impending administration. of course he would ultimately defer to Top and could have been over ruled.  as others have said, for this to be true, the club would likely have provided falsified financial docs to the EFL. Can’t see it.

I wonder how it feels to be a player in this situation. Obviously the bank account softens any kind of blow but especially as a new player joining you must think the uncertainty doesn't help what happens on the pitch...

Debts to Macquarie are accounted for, they’re not the reason we’d be headed to liquidation. It’s the future cash flow that’s the problem, as Top & KP have turned off the tap.

 

Top will have no idea about the financial rules, but the new CEO certainly will.

 

As pointed out, if we were on the brink, EFL wouldn’t have allowed us to register new transfers, and we wouldn’t be turning down the bids this week for Faes, Page, Souttar and Stephy.

 

Besides Page, I hope they go, the cash to be banked, and no permanent replacements to come in. That’s the smartest financial decision.

I feel it’s not a coincidence that this article comes out the day after Martin says basically every player has their price. Taken his words that everyone is for sale at the right price and spun this. Martin said yesterday we don’t need to sell anyone. Now either he’s deluded, been lied to by rudkin/top or we don’t actually need to sell. I’m hoping it’s the latter for this season. 
 

I also believe the academy budget was set before relegation and that wasn’t altered upon relegation and we want to stay as a cat 1 academy. Thats not the action of a club about to enter administration also.

Also this fire sale doesn't add up either...we turned down bids for Souttar already, one being a reported £7.5m as we want £10m. If we were desperate, then he would have been long gone by now and we would have cashed in and not hold on. We are getting rid of high earners because they have put us in this mess and they don't want to be here, so it was always going to happen.  

 

There isn't any surface evidence for Adminstration as yet. If that close, the league will be on us like a rash, they're not. 

 

I think it is all pinned on this season. Go up and we'll be fine and more attractive to potential buyers. Stay in this god awful league and we're are way past administration and looking at total collapse.

There is also no designated green belt in Leicestershire.
