A yarn cheerfully spun by Jon Rudkin without a single shred of evidence to back it up.

Still waiting, after five years, to find a single benefit Seagrave has brought to us.

We sold Monga for 10m + probably a sell on fee, so there is 10% of the build covered already.

Obviously we need better investment in staff, recuritment models, coaches etc and most importnaltly at the top with Top and Rudkin to make it a real success.

I was going to say just to the same! They have such a large catchment as there is nothing from Newcastle to the border and even as far as Edinburgh on the other side really. My experience of Northumberland (fantastic area) is that there’s lots of Geordies there.

It always surprises me that Berwick can’t manage a team that could hold its own in the English league, say League 2 or National League level. In reality they can’t even hold their own in the Scottish leagues. Maybe a victim of location as the town seems big enough and could draw from above and below. Towns like Alnwick and Morpeth are probably too small and much closer to Newcastle but Berwick surprises me.

Yeah.....Berwick is a weird one! I went to a friendly a couple of weeks ago and i think there is potential there to hold their own in the lower reaches of the national league. At the moment i think they make more money from the speedway being held at their ground!

Huh?

Globally we rank 7th most supported club in English football, considerably ahead according to online surveys of all clubs outside the traditional “top 6”

Now is the perfect time for a billionaire to snap us up with the position we are in, we have everything ready to go, it’s actually quite a unique opportunity

No chance that’s the case now and it would have seemed unlikely even during the heights of the recent success. The supporter base worldwide isn’t bigger than the likes of Everton and Villa.

I think your getting ahead of your self with our large fan base, we are bang average

Not one of the biggest in the country, but it’s still a large fanbase.

The perspective of any potential new owners would be different though.

Also, the 6th most successful club in English football this century.

* of the modern (PL) era.

It would probably extend back a few years further than that, but I can't be arsed to check.

1m are Algerian Mahrez fans that forgot to unfollow and 5m are the Hamza Bangladeshi bot farm.

And Forest don't have millions of Greek fans?

And Wrexham don't have millions of American/Celeb bandwagon fans?

And West Ham don't have millions of Porn fans?

I’m all for slating Rudkin, but isn’t the evidence you seek there in bricks and mortar… you must have seen the videos of Seagrave? It’s hard to argue it’s not up there with the best training facilities in the world

Been in Malta for the last 10 days, so not really kept up with this. I take it it's all bollocks to try and actually create some interest?

How dare you suggest this lot have any kind of tactical thought.

Bang average I totally disagree, we’ve sold 23,500  STs in league one , the potential has always been there and will always remain , just need a bigger ground

We will never be a big club in the traditional sense, and if we don’t get things sorted on the financial front soon, we might not be a club at all.

However, if we do get things sorted through a decent, or at least, loaded, new owner, then we have the potential to be bigger than all but about 10 clubs in the Premier League.

Hi Swiss Toni.

I dont think his  joke needed explaining 🤣

Albeit it could have done with some elaboration.

I for one would like to have known exactly why selling a football club is like making love to a beautiful woman.

If I remember rightly (and I might not be) , wasn't Rodgers integral to the design and specifications?

I'm pretty sure he was credited in the design and build process as having a driving role

Clubs I’d guess have a bigger fan Base than Leicester City.

1. Manchester United

2. Manchester City

3. Liverpool

4. Chelsea

5. Arsenal

6. Tottenham

7. Everton

8. Nottingham Forest

9. Newcastle

10. Aston Villa

11. Leeds United

12. West Ham

I’d imagine we are likely 13th-ish, with the likes of Wolves, Sunderland etc

I suspect this "interest" isn't real and was a smoke signal to attract potential interest.

Fingers crossed it works...

Yes, if rumours are to be believed, we’ve been available and for sale for well over 2 years.
