Dunno quite what your point is. My comments are all speculation. I know nada. But, like the police investigating a crime, the working hypothesis is 'the most likely explanation is the most likely explanation' ....

I think you are awarding the prize idiot way too much credit. Owning 55% of a business and 100% of a subsidiary doesn't mean he's immune to being lectured/schooled/bullied/persuaded by the executive management and family members on how to salvage the mess he's created.

The mechanics/ politics of Family, money and business are as old as time..

My point is why would he need his family to bail him out.

He has been the major shareholder of a company worth over 2 billion for the last 8 odd years and prior to that a smaller

shareholder entitled to a smaller share of all profits.

Before Vichai died the company made £237m in profit in one year even with a major down turn in business and the last reported $70m profit it gives some idea of the 55% percentage of money Top now accumulates annually.

He isn’t walking around cap in hand.

So the likelihood that he needs to be bailed out by King Power (a decision he makes anyway) when £94m was from them and £30m was from him makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

I won't get my hopes up until it happens.

Knowing our lot it might be a way of trying to boost crowd numbers for the upcoming season.

I dont believe anything until its official, no smoke without fire but with how things have been at the club it would just be so like the board to scupper any deal.

It’s unlikely the board that will scupper a deal as they have instructed Citigroup?

He isnt in charge of King Power.
The company is effectively in managed administration, deal probably has some of that money going to government.

That happened in June 25, the last debt conversion happened 6 months prior.

What’s the deal with the Polo player as well? Why is he still weirdly on the board of Directors?

Let's be honest it don't matter how far we are down this line. A sale ain't going to happen before the window closes.

So if it's agreed they may put some money up forward, if they trust us to spend it.

I personally see nothing changing until January at the earliest if at all this season. This talk really is just a distraction from what's going on.

We should be more interested in what's actually happening than what is only a pie in the sky dream atm. I'm not even convinced this is true. All Top does is deflection and hide.

Like his shite about being more open to the fans. Then absolutely f all until this shite pops up.

It keeps Top in the team.

So you think a potential new owner is going to lob some cash in before a deal is signed? loooooool

He’s always been the missing piece of my puzzle with all the BC Game stuff and the links to some sort of overall control in China with KP just being the front of it all.

Theres much more to him than meets the eye, I imagine we’ll never know though.

I was going to say just to the same! They have such a large catchment as there is nothing from Newcastle to the border and even as far as Edinburgh on the other side really. My experience of Northumberland (fantastic area) is that there’s lots of Geordies there.

It always surprises me that Berwick can’t manage a team that could hold its own in the English league, say League 2 or National League level. In reality they can’t even hold their own in the Scottish leagues. Maybe a victim of location as the town seems big enough and could draw from above and below. Towns like Alnwick and Morpeth are probably too small and much closer to Newcastle but Berwick surprises me.

Northumberland is all Newcastle really! I'm mates with 1 Sunderland fan,1Spurs fan and 1 Leeds fan.......it's hard to find anyone up here who are not Toon fans!

He ruined his dads legacy.
from being  loved to hated by many.
what a downfall.
no sympathy for him.

Hate is a strong word, just think he's out of his depth and been badly advised

Would show how deep in the dodo we are

suspect KP wouldn’t want that as it would reduce their asking price if they were unable to secure funding to keep the club operating. Not a good negotiating technique!   However, if a deal is all but signed then you could see it happen as it maybe secures their asset.

A new owner could be worse. Also.

Yes… everyone has considered that…. But now is also unacceptably bad…. And it will only get worse…….
