Just heading back from seeing Derren Browns Showman.

Unbelievable…and I mean, literally fvcking unbelievable!

Highly recommend it if you have the chance.

Been to see him a couple of times, not this particular tour though.

Genuinely mind boggling stuff.

That's pretty cool - what did he get you doing?

So definitely not plants used for the shows, then?

We were well and truly gobsmacked with it - as was pretty much everyone in the theatre. We went to see him a few years ago, but this was next level witchcraftery!

Being unemployed has it's advantages.

Almost finished the kitchen that I started in lockdown 1.0

Just skirting to fit tomorrow, then painting door frames, before replacing doors.

And the only tradesman I had in was a guy to fit the gas hob.

Someone who meets up with an old friend at an ‘event’ in Europe most years but hasn’t because of COVID for the last few years decides to go this year ..  the event is on and if you book early for the flight and a hotel (cheapest rates are not refundable) it’s not that expensive.  Unfortunately just before they go they find out the event was cancelled ..   ages ago ! ..  they just sort of didn’t hear about it !! ..   bit of a bugger, but heyho, they decide as it’s all paid for to go anyway and meet up.  When he gets there and pulls up at the hotel he goes to pay the taxi driver and finds out all his money is no longer legal tender ….    never mind ..  he then goes to check in and the receptionist says sorry I can’t find the booking …. but hang on he says here’s the confirmation ..  ah, she says,  same name but it’s not this hotel ..  that one is a two hour taxi drive away.

I mean ..  what sort of plank would do that !!

Don't even feel bad about it, it was delicious.

I'm just biding my time at the minute really.

Waiting for something to come up that I'd like to do.

The Mrs is keeping me busy with decorating at the minute!

I'm debating if I should apply to be a Highways Officer that I've seen advertised.

Basically the guys that drive the Land Rovers on the motorway and clear obstructions, first responders to accidents, things like that.

I'm a bit squeamish though, so not sure!
