'Super' - 2020's

So you’re saying it’s fluous?

Radio shows with several people in the studio where someone says something slightly amusing - or not even slightly amusing - and one or more cry out in an over the top, loud, raucous laugh.

I had to switch the Monday night club on 5live off last night because of this, Micha Richard's being particularly guilty of it.

Do they get paid depending on the amount of decibels their 'laughs' generate?

I refer you to Steve Wright's afternoon show. Unlistenable to with all the canned laughter at stupid shit he fills the show with. Also he's so in love with himself, laughing at himself, singing/talking over the end of songs, the endless plugging of "serious jocking", thinks he is the best thing on R2... cringing.

Also, commentators in October saying "that's the best goal/tackle/defending/header/save you'll see all season. How do they know?

Stop shouting, turn off the speaker and press the phone to your ear, I have no interest in your inane chat.

Bonus points if they have a baby in a pushchair completely ignored

I always think that you're more likely to pick up things like traffic noise using the phone like that too. Completely pointless. If you really can't be arsed to put your phone to your ear, use headphones with a mic.

Century of the self. It's not enough to have a conversation. You need everyone else around you to know you're having one.

Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Timo Werner.

Could this be his night? There are Chelsea fans who doubt him and the City defenders will have to be super switched on

Case in point. Absolutely no need for it. Has the effect of making the person delivering it sound more dumb, so the reverse of the effect they're hoping for.

Rewarding customer loyalty or not.

Football clubs are an exception to the rule here, most of them will give a renewal price on a season ticket lower than a new one.

Mobile phones, TV, Broadband, Energy suppliers are just going to bleed every last penny out of you.

The one where you can’t really change supplier plays fair everyone else......

The agenda that some people on here have against some of our former players.

Seriously, who cares what Mahrez has said in the press? He was one of the main reasons we won the league and the money we got for him wasn't bad.

Chilwell, he's moved on, again we were compensated pretty well for it.

If you've got a problem with this, have you never moved jobs?

If you could do the same job you do, but for a lot more money, wouldn't you do it?

I would.

I presume the people slagging them off have had one employer for life?

Don't come out with shit about loyalty. It's life, its business.

And on the other hand, they say how much they love N'Golo lol

You can't have it both ways.

Exactly. I was discussing this yesterday on here. People get up I'm arms about Mahrez saying he disrespected the club, yet Kante was doing that before he even signed his contract and got out ASAP. You either think they are both knobs or you accept they both left and move on, can't have it both ways

Mahrez annoyed me more through his actions meaning he missed two crucial league games for us. He'd clearly outgrown us and reached a higher level but we needed him and he wasn't there. I think that annoys the fans more than the comments which are quite odd, really, and make little sense given what he's done at Man City.

Kante was a great player and I'm more pissed off that we didn't get a good fee for him- £30 million was an absolute steal and we could've had well over double for that. He's not really said anything against us, seems to keep in touch with the club so don't feel the need for animosity there.

Chilwell was a decent player but I don't think we've suffered without him, the current players don't appear to be too enamoured with him so it isn't just the fans in his case.

The £30m was a steal because he insisted on the release clause of that before he signed. He was out the door before he even walked through it.

But he still respected the club enough to do the transfer business quietly, and he came to watch us play in the champions league. Mahrez lived in the airport every transfer window, and chillwell openly spoke about moving to chelsea while playing for us. theres levels, and thats why the fans feel differently about each player.

But didn't respect enough to sign a contract without an exit route that screwed us over, despite moving from the French lower league to the Premier League. I'm not siding with one player over the another, I'm not demonising one and praising another, they all disrespected the club in their own way, be it in private, or in the press. We can whine about it and we whine about all of them, or we can move on, keep progressing as a club and showing them they didn't need to move get to the top.

He didnt want to come to us, no one knew what a sensation he would be for us nad he didnt know how good his season was going to be. im sure 30m seemed a safe buyout clause for both parties

According to another poster in another thread, Kante knew how good he was, hence why he wanted to release clause. He had no respect for the club taking the chance on him by demanding that. He didn't want to come here, but he had to because the clubs he wanted to join wouldn't take that chance on him like we did. Instead of joining us without the clause and giving notice to the chabce, knowing he was good enough for a club to buy him for big bucks, he put in release clause to secure his exit before he even arrived. Totally disrespectful.

I'm glad he did sign for us, and we won the league, but if he really didn't want to join us he should have waited in the France for Chelsea to pull their finger our and take a risk, but they wouldn't do that would they. Its alright him showing respect now he's gone, but it would have been nice to show some before he joined.

Mahrez, Chilwell and Kante have all disrespected Leicester, just because one did it before he joined rather than after doesn't make it any better or worse.

The moves for Chilwell, Kante, Mahrez and Maguire have all worked out well for them.

We've made a ton of money and re-invested wisely.

I don't hold a grudge against any of them.

In fact, I enjoy watching them play and hope they do well (sometimes), knowing that we were a massive part in their development and grateful for what they bought to Leicester City.

Then there's other players that it doesn't quite work out for, Drinkwater is obviously the shining example, but he did what he thought was the right thing at the time.

As much as I want us to keep our best players, nobody is going to begrudge Youri and Little Wes their big money moves to Champions League contenders in the future.

well lets not forget we had just narrowly avoided relegation. a release cause guarantees he wont have to play in the championship if we went down

Oh boohoo. He'd have been snapped up if he was so sure of his ability, relegation or not. If he was that scared of that, like I said he should have waited in France for Chelsea to take a chance, but they didn't ant wouldn't, we did.

He gave his absolute all when he was here and was no trouble, unlike Mahrez on the second part and rumours about Chilwell too.

I don't think he's worshipped as a hero but there's a respect for his quality and the standard that he operates at.

Release clause allowed us to bag such a talented player when we weren't a very attractive option, I wouldn't get too hung up on it
