Jiggers the Fox Posted 18 May 2013 Posted 18 May 2013 Sounds like drama in Germany with Dortmund having a late goal ruled out allowing Hoffenheim to win and sneak a relegation play-off place... Gutted about this! Fortuna Dusseldorf are my adopted German team, and this result meant they slipped into the last relegation spot!
MC Prussian Posted 18 May 2013 Posted 18 May 2013 Sassuolo Calcio and Hellas Verona will play in the Serie A next season. As for Livorno, they'll have to compete alongside Empoli, Novara and Brescia for the last promotion spot.
21st Century Fox Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 Money can buy you a title.... it can also buy you a ****ing cool Kavinsky-soundtracked fireworks display.

Finnegan Posted 23 May 2013 Posted 23 May 2013 UEFA finally looking like they'll put the UL winner in to the CL. Been saying for years its the best way to get excitement back in it.
Guest MattP Posted 23 May 2013 Posted 23 May 2013 UEFA finally looking like they'll put the UL winner in to the CL. Been saying for years its the best way to get excitement back in it. I'd love to whack our FA Cup winners in and have 3 places in the Prem. Would bring the magic back to it in an instant.
RowlattsFox Posted 23 May 2013 Posted 23 May 2013 Don't know the stats but how many teams that win the Europa league already qualify for the champions league through league qualification?

AKCJ Posted 23 May 2013 Posted 23 May 2013 I'd love to whack our FA Cup winners in and have 3 places in the Prem. Would bring the magic back to it in an instant. As if the PL or SKY would want that to happen.
Tielemans63 Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 Monaco have signed James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho from Porto for £60m. Wow.
Wymsey Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 (edited) Looking forward to the Bayern M v Dortmund game. Never watched both sides play, but apparently they can create great atmospheres amongst themselves and the teams can play some cracking football. Edited 24 May 2013 by Wymeswold fox
Staff Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 (edited) Neymar has signed for Barcelona for a reported 28m euros! Surely James Rodriguez is not with 17m more! Edited 26 May 2013 by Staff
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Neymar has signed for Barcelona for a reported 28m euros! Surely James Rodriguez is not with 17m more! He's not, but Moutinho had a sell-on clause in his contract - naturally Porto don't want to be doing Sporting Lisbon any favours but they still want to get their share of wonga - so the cash has been ploughed into the Rodriguez deal instead.
Fox92 Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Neymar has signed for Barcelona for a reported 28m euros! Will be interesting to see how he performs at that level then.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Going to Twickenham yesterday, saw hundreds of Bayern M. and B. Dortmund fans. The B. Dortmund fans were making lots of noise, but the Bayern fans were very quiet. Bit odd really. Passed Wembley around 11.45 pm last night, and the station was still jam packed.
Tielemans63 Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Falcao meant to be going to Monaco aswell! £52 million according to Sky.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Nani is on Monaco's shopping list too, apparently. Yanited should rinse them for as much as they can.
whoareyaaa Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Terrible decision for a world class player such as Falcao.
MC Prussian Posted 27 May 2013 Posted 27 May 2013 (edited) Terrible decision for a world class player such as Falcao. Not really, Monaco clearly offer him a great financial package. He has the chance of competing for a league title (something he probably would've always missed out had he stayed at Atlético), Ligue 1 can use players of his calibre to promote the league itself and he'll be the posterboy for his squad once again, the centre of attention. He'll relish that opportunity. Calling Monaco a "terrible" decision is terrible. The club mean business. Edited 27 May 2013 by MC Prussian
ScouseFox Posted 27 May 2013 Posted 27 May 2013 He'll probably end up at Real or in the Prem but go via Monaco for a bit of fun trying to win a league and getting shit loads of money.

If he wants to be remembered as an all time great which he clearly has the ability to be, then it will not be in the French league. He won't be in the Champions League this year and there is no guarantee they will be in it the following year, It's sad that a player of his ability cares more about the money than the game.
purpleronnie Posted 27 May 2013 Posted 27 May 2013 Have to say I was pissing a lot of Chelsea fans by saying he wouldnt go there....turns out he hasn't, some seriously deluded premiership fans out there.
Bayfox Posted 27 May 2013 Posted 27 May 2013 He'll probably end up at Real or in the Prem but go via Monaco for a bit of fun trying to win a league and getting shit loads of money. He has. It's been widely reported in spain that real want him but athletico cant deal direct. Expect him to pop up in madrid by next summer.
