HBO released this picture confirming that Rhaegar is indeed Jon's father:

Problem is, because he's never been shown and only mentioned briefly a few seasons ago, I doubt any non-book readers even know who Rhaegar is, never mind how he is linked to the story.

Just watched the final episode of Season 6 once again. I still maintain that first 10-15 minutes is one of the best pieces of television ever.

Yup. Hardly any talking, just the music and stonking cinematography for most of it, right up to the Sept blowing up and Tommen deciding to make a Kings Landing.

 

Amazing piece of TV.

YEah it was beautiful.

 

I personally preferred the ending to Hardhome in season 4.
