@The Bear Jon doesn't want to rule and Daenerys wants to break the wheel. Bran doesn't consider himself Bran Stark anymore and dismissed the 'lord' title last episode when Littlefinger visited, not to mention that it would be a bit weird that Sansa is still ruling in Winterfell if people feel Bran should be doing that.

I'm expecting the world to look a bit different once the show concludes, i.e. no Iron Throne or King/Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
You've seen two 'spoilers' already of the throne room in the Red Keep having been turned to ashes (Bran vision on the way North and Dany's visions in the House of the Undying).
[\spoiler]

@Captain... What was she supposed to do with the Tarlys? Better set an example and kill two instead of tens or hundreds. She wasn't going to win them over with a speech, so subdue them with fear and convince them later :P

Even the so called 'build up' episodes are superb now. I know the show is getting stick for the fast travelling times but it's just adding to the excitement imo.

It hasn't bothered me too much the fast travelling, there are dragons and the undead, I  can suspend my disbelief to shift the plot along nicely. Lets not get too hung up on the episodes of walking the kings road we don't need any more exposition and character development, Brienne and Pod, Arya and the Hound, the brotherhood and more have had enough screen time walking, we don't want more walking we want Dragons vs Zombies.

There will be plenty of time for that if GRRM releases the books, who knows what crazy adventures Jon and Davos could have had on the seas as they travel length and breadth of Westeros and who cares, for those that read the books, did you miss Gilly's seasickness as they travelled to Old Town? Or Stannis battling through snow to get to Winterfell? Nah, just set up the set pieces and smash them out the park.

Exactly. Many other shows should take note. I haven't read the books but a chapter of Gilly being seasick does sound riveting.

Regarding the travel times:

Biggest failing of the show historically was how long all the pieces took to get in to position.

We've literally had some filler seasons with no action at all, people just getting ready.

The pacing of this season has been perfect so far.

There were 5 chapters, but in fairness they were good chapters, developed Sam and Gilly's relationship and had a few other surprises in there and it could have been done well on the TV show, but it was much better to advance Sam's story quicker rather than see him travel to Old Town, via Bravos. Instead he went to Horn Hill and we got to meet his family.

I love the pacing. There are like 8 episodes left of the entire show.

They seem to have forgotten about Casteley Rock and the unsullied though lol

I would have thought Dany and the Dothraki would have gone to join up with them as they were half way there. I imagine they are marching their way back to Dragonstone, but that is a risky route, or they have been sent to Dorne to join up with their forces, but they also seem to have been forgotten about.

Modify the plan Unsullied and Dornish lay siege to Kings landing, While they take back High Garden and then take Riverrun, one area that has received little attention is the Stormlands, traditionally Baratheon territory which seemingly has stayed out of this. Maybe that is where Gendry will come into it.

Aren't you forgetting that the Unsullied had the problem of Euron and his entire fleet to deal with.

Nah, Euron just burnt their ships and left them in a castle with no food reserves and no ships, meaning they would have to march across Westeros to get back to Dany.  Maybe the Dothraki went to pick them up on horse back.

They definitely aren't dead, if Greyworm had died we would know about it.

Superb pacing ...     the new GoT buzz word ....     I shall drop it into the conversation next time GoT comes up down the pub.

Man at bar  :  "Great episode of GoT last night !! ...    I'd give that blonde bird one !!"

Me  :  "Excellent pacing ....    mines a pint."

Will I sound knowledgable and suave or what !! ...   :)

Don't forget "Bend the knee". Seemed to be an awful lot of that last night.

It does feel a bit alien, the fastforwarding. I mean, I'm all for moving the plot along, but some of the dialogue and decision-making is a bit shallow and rash, which gives it a Hollywood superficial feel. I'm OK with it at this point as I'm eager to know the conclusion of the story.

I do feel the show has done well developing characters from where they started to where they are now.

Sure, the pace was far slower in previous seasons, but it made the character transformations and dilemmas along the way more believable.

But yay DRAGONS AND BEEEWBS!

They also now have the  budget and the backing to have an awesome set piece every episode, and to say you know what we want to do seven episodes of varying length this season and 6 feature length episodes next season, and we are going to film in winter even though it will mess up the usual place in the schedule. The network just says yes, yes, here have some more money...

HBO Spain have been rather clever and aired the whole of episode 6 online overnight.

Expect an HD stream later this week.

There's a few screenshots doing the rounds and a certain GIF as well.  I'm not spoiling it though.

I'll take a HD link as well if there's one going please.

Don't think I'll be able to avoid spoilers until Monday evening unless I lock myself in a room with no internet.
