Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Wouldl ike Arsenal to win the league too, or at least something this season. If not them than Chelsea. Dont like Spurs, hate United and dont think City will do it
Kitchandro Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Arsenal fans have always struck me as the upper class nerds of football.
Dan Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Arsenal definitely looking the pace setters. Some of the football they play is terrific. I was wrong about Ozil being over-rated too. The bloke looks class so far. Early days, but very encouraging stuff - and who'd have thought it after the Villa loss?
SystonFox Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Does anyone think Matt used to bang an Arsenal fan then found her in bed with his Arsenal supporting mate? Proper love in
Ross-Kemp Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 I've seen a few Arsenal shirts around Leicester recently Why? won nothing in ages and lack of english present in the team! so what's to cheer about? And by the lack of English presence you're forgetting Wilshire, Walcott, Alex Oxladr-Chamberlain & Kieron Gibbs ? Who are all pretty much first team players ?Whereas Villa yesterday had who ? Nathan Baker an Fabian Delph ? Get off the bandwagon that Arsenal have no English players, when obviously, they do !
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Rio had an absolute mare by the looks of MOTD. Man Utds new right winger looks decent
Jimothy Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 I've seen a few Arsenal shirts around Leicester recently Why? won nothing in ages and lack of english present in the team! so what's to cheer about? As Ross Kemp said, they have a good core of English players now. So you can pipe down on that one. As for the shirts in Leicester, well you've seen a few. That to me says less than 10. That's hardly a big deal people move around nowadays, they could be Londoners. My old French teacher is a gooner and he's from London but obviously now lives in Leicester. I remember having conversations/run ins with Matt about his Arsenal hating in the past. I think he thought I was telling him he had to like them and went through a period of sarcastically praising them. I wasn't telling him to do anything, he can hate who he wants, I could just never understand his reasoning, especially when he said he quite liked Man U. He says Wenger moans a lot, when nobody moaned more than that red nosed Scottish twat at Man U. He said he disliked the fans, but there are no worse fans in the world than glory hunter Man U fans. I just can't understand hating a team for traits that a team you like are much worse on.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Torres second yellow perhaps wasn't worthy of one but should've been sent off earlier for raising his hands to someone's face.
StanSP Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Rio had an absolute mare by the looks of MOTD. Man Utds new right winger looks decent The whole of the defence were shocking. Played like amateurs. Never seen a Utd defence like that.
bovril Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Moyes has finally got Everton above Man United.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 You'd like to think an English player would've admitted that as being handball but not a Liverpool player regardless of nationality. That should've been a back pass too. How Webb's just missed that I'll never know.
Jimothy Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 You'd like to think an English player would've admitted that as being handball but not a Liverpool player regardless of nationality. That should've been a back pass too. How Webb's just missed that I'll never know. I don't think any player would have admitted it, regardless of nationality. He's not gone in with a hand raised to punch it in, he's gone for it with his head and it's clipped his arm. He's obviously thought "Shit didn't mean that" and has a glance over to if the linesman spotted it. Had he gone in with his arm out to reach it he might have held his hands up to it, but not when it's accidental. The back pass, I'm not sure. Looked like the defender was trying to clear and Mingolet has collected it. Back passes only count if the ball is deliberately played to the keeper, I don't think that was.
Corky Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Great to hear Mourinho complaining about foreigners bringing their ways to the English game. A real poke in the eye.

It was a feeble attempt to clear the ball then by the defender I think. Most defenders would've attempted to put their foot through it. Cracking game now, just hope Sunderland get another.

Stadt Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 I love Johnson's fall from grace since leaving Man CityIt's a shame because he was promising, he actually wants to take people on but now he's quite shìt.
Father Ted Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Have a lot of respect for Wenger and Arsenal. Play football the right way, don't spend millions and invest in youth. Would love it if they won the league this year. Would give a massive middle finger to all the United/Chelsea and other football fans who were laughing at them in pre season for signing nobody. This is the best Arsenal side since the invincibles.

This is the best Arsenal side since the invincibles. They've played 6 games. I completely agree they're looking impressive, but they've hardly been tested yet. Swansea was a very nice victory, granted, but lets see how they do against Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd & Liverpool before saying anything like that.
MC Prussian Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 So, Sturridge's goal yesterday - hands or perfectly fine? Judging by the replays, he uses part shoulder, part elbow. In any case, I'm glad Suarez is back. Liverpool and Uruguay needed the goalscoring machine on form badly. And just in time for the remaining WC qualifiers.

purpleronnie Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Arsenal to subsidise travelling fansArsenal’s travelling supporters will receive a £2.50 discount on every remaining away Premier League match ticket purchased this season. The saving is intended to reward those supporters who travel away from home most regularly and will roughly equate to the price of an ‘average’ away ticket over the course of a season. The reduction will be made on the advertised ticket price at the point of purchase. The initiative, which comes into effect for the away match against Crystal Palace on Saturday, October 26, is part of Arsenal’s ongoing drive to recognise the tremendous support it receives away from home. The Club will also provide away supporters with a refreshments voucher worth £10 at an away fixture this Christmas. This follows the success of a similar initiative last year when Arsenal travelled to Wigan Athletic. In addition, redevelopments are to be made to the away area at Emirates Stadium to improve the matchday experience for visiting supporters this season. This will be the latest stage of the Club’s ‘Arsenalisation’ project, which has already seen the lower and upper concourses redecorated to commemorate great Arsenal moments, with statues of Herbert Chapman, Tony Adams and Thierry Henry installed around the podium area. Further plans are being developed to recognise Arsenal’s travelling supporters as part of the Club’s away membership programme. Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said: “This is an ongoing process. We’re pleased to be giving something back to our supporters who travel the length and breadth of the country to support the team away from home in the Premier League. They are the lifeblood of the Club and we want to recognise that in a fair and meaningful way. “We are also taking steps to help make visiting supporters feel more at home when they visit Emirates Stadium.â€
