StanSP Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Both rated highly by Wenger. Typical Pearson loan signings and I'm not complaining at all. Remember seeing them vs Bolton in 2011 and they impressed me more than some of the senior players for both sides, one of which included Gary Cahill. I think they'd fit in well here and I actually think either could be better than the last CB we had on loan...
Chairman of the Bored Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Yennaris good to go with Dannzy on vocals. Drives a Ford Fiesta so will look well out of place in our car park: http://www.arsenal.com/news/reserves-news/young-guns-nico-yennaris
Babylon Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I don't know them, but I would prefer to loan older, wiser, and more experienced players who costs more than them.
Guest Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Experienced older players generally aren't available cheaply on loan, which is obviously why we are going for these lads. I'd like to see more experienced players coming in too, but I think we just have to accept that while we get our house in order, we're not going to be making any significant signings. A couple of lads on loan are better than no signings at all. Nail on head
Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 There are barely any experienced players who are available on loan at all, and even less when you narrow it down to certain positions. Also, many of these are players who have been hounded out of there respective club or just coming back from massive injuries. Anyway when you get a loan from Arsenal you know what you wil get: a technically gifted, ball-playing lad desperate to make an impression. Arsenals academy is a dogfight with dozens of youngsters getting released every year.
iamafox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Wouldn't mind these two at all, we'll pretty much have our defence covered if we sign them.
Munshi Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Seen miquel play a couple of times for Arsenal I think, looked pretty good there. Very happy with this.
MC Prussian Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Thank you, Arsène. We'll gladly take both. If they come, we're set.
Deucalion Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Seen miquel play a couple of times for Arsenal I think, looked pretty good there. Very happy with this. I dunno...he's no Kerrea Gilbert.
z-layrex Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Just asked whether theyre any good. Reply I got from a reliable Arsenal supporter was 'No. Sorry' Arsenal fans don't rate any of their players tho. That lot moan more than us!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I don't know them, but I would prefer to loan older, wiser, and more experienced players. Alan?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Well, this was Yennaris's last game. Hmm. http://arsenalyouth.wordpress.com/2013/08/03/central-defensive-catastrophe-as-arsenal-u21s-lose-7-0-to-luton/ Obviously impressed our scouts....
Fox42 Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Am I right in saying Miquel will be our first LCFC Spaniard?
Tielemans63 Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Drives a Ford Fiesta so will look well out of place in our car park: ] Zetec - flashy bastard.
StanSP Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Am I right in saying Miquel will be our first LCFC Spaniard? Quite possibly. Think I raised the point of no Spaniard ever having played for City ages and ages ago. First time for everything!
Ric Flair Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Please throw in Eisfield as well or that other young Salmon they have too. Miguel has done ok in their first team at times, not heard of the other geezer.
Bilbo Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Are we believing this then? It is the Mirror after all and whenever they report that one of our players is set to leave everyone discredits them.
Ric Flair Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Are we believing this then? It is the Mirror after all and whenever they report that one of our players is set to leave everyone discredits them. Bert said a left footed CB was being lined up yesterday and now this is reportyed so it's got a bit of credibility i'd say, but you never know!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Arsenal fans don't rate any of their players tho. That lot moan more than us!That will amaze our detractors from within
whitlock Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Just asked whether theyre any good. Reply I got from a reliable Arsenal supporter was 'No. Sorry' Most Arsenal and United fans probably only know the starting 11 usually.
Samilktray Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Most Arsenal and United fans probably only know the starting 11 usually. Hes from London, a season ticket holder and watches their youth games regularly. I wouldnt bother asking an Arsenal fan from Leicester.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I don't know them, but I would prefer to loan older, wiser, and more experienced players who costs more than them. I agree Babble on, whatever it was!
