Jack Hobbs - Gone to Forest

I like Jack Hobbs and was saddened to hear we'd sold him, it would be great to see him back and would be the ideal replacement while Liam is away. If this deal does go through then it certainly spell the end of Sean St Ledger, Miquel & Zak Whitbread.

Not all injuries heal at the same rate, it's a guess. And with the rib it's a very complicated one as it's not something you can isolate and plaster like a leg, you will be using them all the time just moving.

Ribs are absolute bastards. The pain I had with my broken ribs was excruciating. :ill::cry:

He doesn't deserve to fight for his place, he deserves to start, as soon as he regains fitness. He has been one of our best players this season, sometimes better than Wes, last time Moore was out of the side, he wasn't even getting on the bench, and we ended up loaning him out.

It might be nearer to 8 games, but 3 weeks will go fast, we have four games in those three weeks, 8 games takes us into the middle of March.

The way fans are acting on here, they are just happy that we're linked with Jack Hobbs and he might return, nobody has mentioned Liam Moore in this.

Every players should fight for their place.

You keep saying three weeks, it's a minimum. And I can tell you talking from experience, he will be very lucky if he is in a condition to play in three weeks time.

What is important is the team, Leicester City. If getting Hobbs helps us out, then I'm sorry Liam will just have to fight like everyone else to play.

Seem's Leicester are not willing to let Liam moore rush his comeback and also make sure we are still strong enough for promotion push! fair play to the owners.

How do you know that Nigel wasn't lining up a move for another defender before Moore's injury. I'll be honest, for all Moore's potential and for the experience of Morgan we have been sloppy at the back on a number of occasions this season. Nigel has gone on record as saying we must improve defensively, which to be fair I feel we have in recent weeks. That said, if there's opportunities to improve the squad then it's a managers responsibility to do so and Hobbs becoming available for as little as £800,000 is a bargain and I can see why Pearson is going for 3rd time lucky on him again.

I still think Moore will be first choice but it'll not worry Pearson if signing Hobbs and him having a blinder whilst Moore is out means he's got a dilemma as who to pick alongside Wes, he'll relish it.

Liam is an England U21 defender who a lot of our fans believe is destined for the top, if so then being faced with competition from the likes of Hobbs, Miquel and Wasilewski shouldn't be a problem for him.

He might of been, but he said he probably wouldn't sign anyone else. We were linked with Hobbs back in the summer, but that was before we got top of the league, and Moore and Morgan were performing wonders. We had a few sloppy games early on in the season, and that Bolton game was just one of those rare freak games, but apart from that they have been terrific. We've won a lot of games 2-1, that's us only conceding one goal, not 2 or 3 which costs us a defeat. You could say the defensive didn't look great against QPR; however they withstood pressure and kept a clean sheet. In our current seven game winning streak, Wes and Liam helped us keep four clean sheets.

I'm not questioning how good our options would be if Hobbs signed, I just feel Liam Moore and Jack Hobbs are both starters. As you say yourself you think Liam will be first choice; however Hobbs is better than a bench player, would fans be happy to see him being wasted on the bench?

Bringing Hobbs in on a month's loan is understandable and definitely needed, it's all good having competition and players relishing it, but the way Liam has performed this season, and has turned himself into one of our key players, does he deserve to have someone in front of him, keeping him out of the side? In my personal opinion, no he doesn't.

If anything battling for a place in the starting eleven seems to have brought Moore on, anybody picking negatives in a the scenario of having three absolutely fantastic centre halves as well as Wasyl and Miquel who are no duffers battling for two places needs to run a bath and have a long think.

I'm almost in agreement with you, but as promotion is a very real prospect our best chance in 10 years then I would hate us to rue the opportunity to sign a proven defender and ship a load of goals whilst Moore is out. Sadly, Hobbs isn't available on loan. Hull want to sell him now so they can re-coup some dough. Let's not forget we have a sell-on clause so we'll get him probably £200,000 cheaper than the asking price. It's a no brainer given what's at stake.

I don't care which player it is or how much they have improved, if we can bring in someone better then we should do it, on the condition they are capable of PL football if we are signing them for 3 years or so.

Not only would he be a great signing, but the reaction of the Forest fans could quite possibly be the funniest thing ever.

Its a shame you couldn't be as arsed to meet your commitments to the Tax payer when you went into admin, ripping off the East Midlands Ambulance Service amongst many others. Leicester City one of the reason there now is a admin points deduction & impending FFP

lol funny as fvck on forest hope no bastard ever starts WWIII cos we are gonna get blamed for it

The way I see it is, he is a very capeable Champ defender and for 1m you would struggle to

find better value. If we go up and he doesn't cut it in the Prem then we have still only spent 1m

which we could recoup quite easily, it's a no brainer.

As for Moore only being out for 3 weeks, he must be a quick healer. I've broken my ribs twice

and it was 6 weeks each time.

Exactly, the prize is worth the outlay. Even if he can't cut it we'd doubtless receive the majority of what we're bidding back anyway.

It really confuses me coming over to the LCFC forum and seeing Ric Flair make so much sense because I know for a fact he's had a shit behind a chinese takeaway after a Robbie Williams concert.

Either way. Good signing. Good price. Promotion. Cheers.

Having sense and going to a robbie concert really don't go together.

Unless Ric is a middle aged mum/teen from the 90's with no music taste.lol lol lol
