AKCJ Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I asked Bradders about him after our game with us recently and he valued him around the £5m mark.
DennisNedry Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 It's irrelevant even considering this because we don't know what league Brighton will be in next season.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 It's irrelevant even considering this because we don't know what league Brighton will be in next season. How is it irrelevant? It's not whatsoever.
LeicesterBran Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Quality player I'd take him here if Brighton fail to get promotion from the play offs. But, he is not worth that £6.5 million would say he is worth either £2 or £3 million.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Thoughts from them on the Shitehawk boards http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?300744-Leicester-after-%A36-5m-Leo-Ulloa
kingfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 This has come from the Daily Mail, not Sky Sports so it's all paper talk. Like a few have said, good player, somebody in the mould that we need; however £6.5 million, no thanks.
StanSP Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Value will drop if they don't go up. And if they go up, they won't sell to us.
Unabomber Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 "We will get a lot more than that for him if we sell' Wiiiiilllll ya?!
Daveaway Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 paper talk the fact that he scored less than Vardy and Nugent he only scored 12 goals this season,
The Doctor Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 It's irrelevant even considering this because we don't know what league Brighton will be in next season. Because teams that have gone up have never sold players? Valuation might change depending on how the play-offs go, but it's not irrelevant considering this. Tidy player, but we're talking just under what we paid for Akinbiyi, and with no prem experience he just isn't worth that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Value will drop if they don't go up. And if they go up, they won't sell to us. They might do, I bloody would for 6 and a half stones!
ScouseFox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 if he joins he will have to agree that his name is ulloa not ujjoha. that's my only condition.
MPH Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Newspaper logic Leicester in Premier League + rich Thai owners + Premier League cash = link every player for ridiculous fees This stinks of agent involvment... wants his client in the top division as that's where the big money is.. Throw a price and a name out there to see if anyone comes knocking....
dog_4 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 really impressed me! Strong, good movement, good finisher! Probably adds up to £6.5m to be fair!
dmayne7 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Thoughts from them on the Shitehawk boards http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?300744-Leicester-after-%A36-5m-Leo-Ulloa They're kidding themselves if they think they can get more than £6.5 million for him. He'll be 28 in the summer and whilst he's got a very good championship goal-scoring record, its not good enough to warrant that kind of money at his age. I think he's a very good player and wouldn't mind seeing him this year but at that price; Nige won't go for him.
XLM Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Some journalist must've read this forum on the realistic signings bit. Would be highly uncharacteristic of Pearson to do this sort of business.
Steven Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 We need someone like him, but not him and not at that price.
Marmite Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Can't see Pearson paying that for a Championship player if I am honest. I may be wrong but for someone with no Premiership experience its alot of money. Pearson has already said he only wants to add a few players to his side and wants players with Premiership experience
Roy Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 How many names and rumours shell we read all the summer? Journalists are working with agents, so all the romuors are comming from an interests of them, not from something real
Babylon Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Pearson is all about Value, £6.5m for someone that age isn't value.... so I call bull shit.
coolhandfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Good in the air, this is the only type of striker we don't have! Big price tag for a Championship player who only score 12 goals!
Fox in the North Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Here's their take on it: http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?300744-Leicester-after-%A36-5m-Leo-Ulloa Some would snap our hands off. Some would take 6.5m plus Wood. And some want to keep him in case they win the play offs. I think it'd depend on the latter. If they win the play offs, Brighton would have no reason to sell. He's one of best strikers in the division at the moment (excluding :nuge: and of course ), and he would add some competition, but I'd rather some premier league experience. That being said all the good ones are taken by decent clubs!
dog_4 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I remember us being beaten by Brighton to his signature! So Nigel has been linked in the past!
