Cambiasso's in then he's out in out in out shakes us all about!

Since this rumour first surfaced on 7 august only NP's admission of interest has suggested there is any substance.

It has been clear since May that we lack squad depth and need quality additions, particularly down the spine.GTF playing CM yesterday merely emphasised that.

I am sure that NP has several irons in the fire but, however much we love City,we are not that attractive to many quality players.

Was definitely in London yesterday.

He was in Harrods with a dark skinned man in a smart suit and shades.  He bought a handmade Turkish carpet.

Could be furnishing a flat across from the KP?

This may be a bit leftfield or just plain BS but consider his position for a minute, he is a winner and has been most of his career. Maybe it was a tactical delay to see how we were against two of the top PL teams and to see what he potential team mates were like in this setting, maybe after seeing the last two games he thinks "yeah, these guys have really got something and I can be a part of this, they clearly wont be loosing every week which is not how I want my legacy to end"

why would he need to do that when we have got a carpet world in Leicester?

I don't know but I'm sure I heard him asking whether there was a shop down Saffron Lane which sold Argentinian cuisine.

@RobTannerMerc: @Chappers28 NP frustrated with Cambiasso deal as so many agents claiming to rep him. Diff to do deal.

Just another load of tripe from the mirror by the looks of it

Next week, Arsenal will choose between Cazorla, Wiltshire, Flamini, Ramsey, Ozil, Arteta Rosicky,  Diaby (if fit) and potentially a few new signings in the centre of their midfield.

We will probably choose between King, Hammond and GTF.

The next few days are very important for this football club. In Nigel we trust.

The only positive I can have if this happens is Pearson and his staff rarely get a transfer wrong.

But I'm not happy the way it's been handled wherever the problem has been.

You don't have a ****ing clue how it's been handled. Listen to how retarded you're being. Jesus.

All you know is that it's taking him a while to choose. Given he probably has quite a lot of offers, if he does finally pick us then that's probably a good thing.

Gtf in centre mid is ridiculous. He looked woeful against Chelsea.

Something needs to be sorted before the weekend as it is quite embarrassing to have a Blackpool reject starting out of position.

How does that work? Bit of a strange excuse.

It's legal stuff. You can agree a deal with him and sign him and then someone turns up with a piece of paper and says 'by the way, you owe me 10% of the total deal over two years'. The club have to know where they stand and if Pearson is being told that we don't know if there is anyone else who will be putting their hand out then it's difficult to do a deal. After all, how do we know that EC hasn't signed a deal with a company whereby they have already paid him an upfront amount in return for all his earnings over the next two years.

Sounds odd but it's not unusual for s American players to have split ownership. Remember tevez /mascherano?

I know he's not averse to throwing a curveball here and there but NPs post-match comments yesterday suggested that the deal is dead as they're moving on to 'plan B and even C'.

I absolutely dont expect him to sign now.

I think he was speaking generally mate, about the whole window being difficult. For all we know EC is plan B

You misheard him, he said "moving on to plan EC"

Calm down. :kissing:

Mind you this article kind of explains what i'm moaning about, his representatives seem to be fucking us about, no I don't know exactly how it's being handled you are right but from what I can gather - from what we are being told, it's all down to his representatives giving us the runaround;

Leicester City have been in talks with the former Inter midfielder but their manager admits convincing the 34-year-old to head to the East Midlands is proving tough

Nigel Pearson has says he is getting frustrated by the negotiations in Esteban Cambiasso's proposed move to Leicester City.

Following his side's 2-0 Premier League defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, Pearson explained he was looking to strengthen his options before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Last week Pearson revealed the club's interest in Cambiasso, who is currently a free agent after leaving Inter, but explained complexities in the deal were beginning to become an issue.

"It's proved exceptionally hard to find a solution to the negotiations," he said.

"There seems to be so many representatives for players, it's finding out who's actually doing the deal and that's been the biggest problem for us."

Pearson also took time to comment on the future of Chris Wood, who had previously been linked with a move to Wolves but came off the bench to grab a late equaliser in Leicester's 2-2 draw with Everton on the opening day.

"I never said he was leaving," Pearson commented. "I'm not accountable for the speculation.

"There was interest [from Wolves] and discussion between the sides but my discussion with the player was very simple.

"He wants to stay and I'm happy for him to stay so it's very straightforward."

Right, that makes more sense.

Can completely understand the difficulty and frustration Pearson is experiencing. I hope it doesn't put him off going for players he wants though. These are challenges Premier League clubs face and this is a good challenge for our management to learn from. If he doesn't sign so be it.

To see if he still had 'it' I imagine.

Great for us though, choosing Leicester over London it seems

Not quite.

If we believe the article, it seems his original plan was to choose London over Leicester...

Anyway, it's clear the reason why this is taking so long - clearly he thought he'd wait around for a bit longer in case a better offer came in. Which is fair enough when you think about it - football players are in effect self-employed. As fans we just assume everyone in the world wants to play for Leicester, but the cold hard reality is that they don't. He'll come to us if he thinks we're the best he can get, end of.
