Running the risk of getting moaned at again, why the feck are people still believing anything fourth official say? According to them he had a medical two and a half weeks ago, signed a week and a half ago.

Anyway, they might be half right time as his reps were in London.

Talking to us though, or a London based club?

We were also in London yesterday, really hope this is it - one way or the other!

Must have wanted a relegation release clause? If the article is accurate. Seems like there has been some issues on both sides. 50k seems the highest figure reported to date.

Could have been here to visit Buckingham palace for all I know. His team are here though & we are speaking to the right people now... 2+2 =

Oh his team were in Spain a few days ago also, so if they are talking to us they could still decide to go there.

Cheers mate, how confident are you this will get sorted, positively, over the few days?

indeed - if you want to believe what the mirror have written then it's clear to me that he wants/wanted to be in London. Tbh, if he's that bothered, he can commute to leicester each day. plenty of players make daily commutes of that distance. if he wants the hustle and bustle of central London (he can afford it) then then train is an easy option. If he wants to be in the suburbs then the drive from n London isn't much more than 75mins. (He can afford a driver as well).

Guess we'll know within a day or two. (Said that a fortnight ago:))

He's going to have to be amazing, really amazing to be better than Hammond

That's something I wouldn't have said pre-Drinkwater's injury last week

Hammond has been an absolute revelation as a CDM controlling some of the most creative play we're ever going to face in Martinez's Everton & Chelsea's Hazard & Co

Wonder how long it will take Cambiasso to get up to match fitness having not had a preseason & at 34 (TWO year deal? *sobs*)

If I was him I'd do this.

I'd love in Central London and I'd have an extended wheel base Phantom driven by a chauffer to pop up to Leicester to train. You'd be going against traffic so you would avoid jams.

Probably would have a crash pad in Leicester for when I couldn't be bothered to go home.

Will be announced at the press conference on Thurs.

Neil, this is ****ing hilarious! Where do you write it?!? Never heard that one before! Let me guess, is his medical today?

I really am over this now.

If i'm honest he's going to have to be fucking amazing to win me over, Ok there may be reason's, maybe out of his control why this has took so long - even if he does sign this time, but i'm not being funny this whole saga could have been speeded up i'm sure, like I say it might not be entirely his fault but his representative have let's say tainted my opinion of him.

To me, and again I may be totally wrong in saying this but to me it seems he (Or his representatives) have been waiting for a bigger offer or club to come for him, at the end of the day though regardless of his representatives - if he really wanted to come here his decision would be final and he could have put his foot down.

It's like Pearson said the other day, the reason he doesn't like things being leaked is because it upset's other club, the player's themselves, and the fans form opinions one way or another, my opinion is this should have had it's conclusion atleast a week or 2 ago - and even then it had dragged on too long.

I feel we could have been focussing on other deals and getting other, more important matters sorted rather than chasing this dare I say it primadonna.

Agree with all of this except for the last paragraph. I think we'd have back up plans anyway. I don't see Nigel working any other way. Good post though.

I know he's not averse to throwing a curveball here and there but NPs post-match comments yesterday suggested that the deal is dead as they're moving on to 'plan B and even C'.

I absolutely dont expect him to sign now.

I think he was speaking generally mate, about the whole window being difficult. For all we know EC is plan B

Hopefully this is the case, he had his chance, I think it's fair to assume him or his representatives have fucked us about, fair enough he wanted to see what was about, see if there were better deals but I want players that want to be here or show abit of enthusiasm.

No idea, I'm no ITK.

Just managed to track down some of his reps on twitter.

None of these established foreign players and PL British players will want to be with us by choice we're way down the pecking order of PL clubs they aspire or want to play for. They'll all be waiting for better offers so it's inevitable our 'best' signing will be last minute signings. Similarly all our early signings were a step up for the players involved.

You make a good point. I also think we need to get away from this line of thinking that if we are not first choice the players care when they put on that blue shirt. I believe should he sign cambiasso will give his all.
