Danizen Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 No it's not too early for this thread! Shut up! What's our realistic ambition? Top seven? Top four? Maybe even a title challenge.
DB11 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 After seeing how Hull have suffered second season syndrome I would like to consolidate our place in the Premier League
Mark_w Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Above three other teams and a trip to Wembley would be nice.
Sir Shep Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Southampton, Stoke and Swansea are the benchmark, surely we can do as well as them?
Danizen Posted 16 May 2015 Author Posted 16 May 2015 After seeing how Hull have suffered second season syndrome I would like to consolidate our place in the Premier League I was joking but I really hope we can progress. Even if it's just a baby step.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Got to push on now, and challenge for the title...
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Top half would be an excellent achievement, but really I'd take any finish above 17th! Plus making KP a fortress
Kitchandro Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Just avoid all the relegation nonsense, that'll do me. This. But we must take the cup seriously.
Master Fox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Got to push on now, and challenge for the title... This ^
One Legged Beaver Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 With our current form I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least challenge for the title.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 If someone said to me that we would maybe have a couple of good cup runs (perhaps a quarter final or two) and finish somewhere around the 45 point mark I'd consider that a decent step up from this season. Obviously with the wins a bit more spread out over the season for a change!
fuchsntf Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Todays survival, with this type of performance and draw. I hope will not have foxes fans believing this squad is equipped to take us further. The base is there, because of youth. We are still a long way from squads like, WBA, Crystal Palace, Stoke, even further from Southampton, Swansea. Yes even WBA, next year, unless they implode I see the 1st teams I mentioned, including Villa, consolidating their premiership status. This doesn't mean with positive movement over the summer, we cant mix it with any of the Pl clubs. This season I believe many of us were happy with 17-14th. Next season we should be aiming of improving allround performances, holding some run of consistency. OF course we cant predict, but hope to see the club we support, learn and just not have character but some style, target... 13th-11th, looking this time at 48+ pts, might be around it, but not in slipping into the 18th-15th spots. Players like Schlupp, Moore, Lawrence,Mahrez Ulloa to chase that higher consistency,Kramaric to be a driving force. DD, King, to become the dependables.Cambiasso to interface and enthru again the class and knowledge to his younger teammates. Management to recognise we really do need 3 -5 quality players.
Phube Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 But how could they possibly have a Premier League without Gerrard? it'll probably be retired or something...
Sir Shep Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 But how could they possibly have a Premier League without Gerrard? it'll probably be retired or something... I know, I mean we coped when Steve Walsh left but poor Liverpool, I guess they'll want him knighted or something.
LCCFox96 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 More points than we amassed this season and an improvement on our final league position this season. Onwards and upwards.
cc_star Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Survival is no easier 2nd term 17th or above would be an achievement I predicted 14th this season, I think we could do 14th again but not be in the bottom 3 throughout, have our wins spread through the season If the club supports Pearson in the summer better than last year and actually land some of his targets then there's no reason why we shouldn't aim to be mid table though but really survival will be a challenge EVERY single year until all positions are fleshed out with the quality Huth has brought to the team
Spicer Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I want us not to be in a relegation fight. Mid table and I will be happy.
Vacamion Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Survive, bank another year of Sky money, don't blow it all on crap signings. Occasionally dish out a bloody nose to the big boys. A decent cup run. Job done.
