I see the new membership scheme is a good indicator that they are seriously looking into expansion. This season will be the first time that anyone at the club will be able to accurately measure demand for tickets for each match (through the ballot applications and member numbers), which will help inform them of potential expansion numbers. Also, making membership less of a 'closed shop' will help attract potential season ticket holders for when the expansion does happen...

Stadium expansion plans are being designed and produced by a guy called Dan Meis. Did Roma's new ground and done/doing a few other projects for Premier League teams.

Doing evertons isnt he and let slip he is working with us as well.

Expand, because without that I can see the not so well off being priced out of it in the near future. 42,000 is a bit steep though, can't we just expand the East or the Family stand and see how it goes?

That could well be the plan, the 10,000 could involve 2-3 sides which might be done in stages. There is no reason to assume from the information we have so far that it will be done in one shot.

To paraphrase Clint Eastwood there are two kind of clubs in the Premier League.

Those with 40,000+ stadiums who plan to be a permanent fixture in the league and those with sub 40,000 who are hanging around until there time is up.

Despite last season in the league, the club is having a 'boom' period both financially and historically.

The demand for tickets is genuinely very strong consistently and therefore an expansion to be done in the short to medium-term future would make the interest towards the club even more stronger and fascinating.

Article mentions a brand new training complex as well, is that a renovation of Belvoir Drive or a move elsewhere?

I heard Botcheston. The old airfield near the golf course.

A new training ground was hinted at in the February minutes just posted in a topic
