Wymsey Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Keep Walsh & Shakey then this is a brilliant appointment. O'Neill is a better version of Nigel Pearson. Don't really understand this, how?
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 So it's confirmed this is the interview or what? no i'm thinking forward - I may even get inside info from Matt via my lad
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Don't really understand this, how? apparently he runs on duracel whereas NFP used cheap Toshibas from the pound store £1 for 32
Mark_w Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 So it's confirmed this is the interview or what? Don't think so. Basically last night reliable Foxes Talk posters were saying someone was being interviewed today and today all of the bookies seem to think MON is our next manager.
cc_star Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 I was content with Pearson after last year, he got the results on the pitch and after his sacking I was hoping for a proper replacement. I was there in the O'Neill years, as good as he was people forget there were some real drab games, long winless streaks admittedly we had a small squad and that probably had effect. But he rarely signed anyone that offered anything other than hard work and graft. His Sunderland side was negative even for their standards, can't help but feel it would be a backward step as we really showed some real pace and flair towards the end of last season, a joy to watch. That's where I am with MoN, that pace flair & one touch football last season was fantastic. Hopefully whoever is in charge will maintain that. It's no surprise we could beat teams playing like that
ramadaone Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Why would Lennon leave his position as Bolton manager to become Martin O'Neill's sidekick? Do people honestly think that's going to happen? Possibly not but Lennons Assistant might end up in the mix somewhere
cc_star Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Keep Walsh & Shakey then this is a brilliant appointment. O'Neill is a better version of Nigel Pearson. Steve Walford... and the likes of Danny Graham & Wes Brown
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Possibly not but Lennons Assistant might end up in the mix somewhere Parker I take it, not Mjallby?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Yes, I would certainly take him, but I doubt very much he would return, unless in a more senior role, with Lennon as manager.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Parker I take it, not Mjallby? I forgot about Gary Parker. Classy player
Mayofox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Could MON join, and still do the Irish job? All Ireland's remaining games in Sept & Oct take place during the international window, therefore avoiding our fixtures. He's always intended to return to the Prem, and his contract expires later this year Kev Phillips played for him at Villa. Roy Keane would take over as the Irish boss.
Aus Fox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Many significant four figure bets places on O'Neil led to betting being suspended. Very unusual in a manager market and the only other time this has happened is when Moyes went to Man Utd. http://m.independent.ie/sport/soccer/betting-suspended-as-martin-oneill-looks-poised-for-leicester-job-31366895.html
Babylon Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 I was content with Pearson after last year Could have fooled errrrm everyone.
bovril Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Seeing Parker on the touchline would send me all a-quiver.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Is this done yet? I really hope this doesn't drag on. Last thing we need is all of this only for Sean Dyche or Bob Bradley to get the job
benpicko Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Don't think so. Basically last night reliable Foxes Talk posters were saying someone was being interviewed today and today all of the bookies seem to think MON is our next manager. Yeah I saw the Albert and qwerty posts yesterday but thought the only way this could have got so many pages in a few hours is if he was confirmed as that interview through one of them, because let's face if, he's not Preki. Also the bookies always think O'Neill will be coming back so I thought it must be more
Jace Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 This happened last time don't forget guys big money bets put on him and he weren't interested, I wouldn't be surprised if at this stage all it is is the owners have made an approach for him
Darkon84 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Maybe so but apparently there were more interviews to be done. I just think this plot could twist again! After all Ranieri is more qualified, surely he would have an interview too if he expressed interest. I was just being picky, that's all. You would generally think that a few candidates would be interviewed.
Ricey Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 This happened last time don't forget guys big money bets put on him and he weren't interested, I wouldn't be surprised if at this stage all it is is the owners have made an approach for him Yeah, could just be that they have met to discuss things. If it's something more, I'm surprised none of the usual ITK's have mentioned anything.
Jimothy Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Could MON join, and still do the Irish job? All Ireland's remaining games in Sept & Oct take place during the international window, therefore avoiding our fixtures. He's always intended to return to the Prem, and his contract expires later this year Kev Phillips played for him at Villa. Roy Keane would take over as the Irish boss. All international games take place during international breaks so therefore avoid our fixtures. There's probably a reason why not a lot of people take on an international role along side a club role, because it's not that easy.
