Frank to be Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 This clearly wasn't the plan of the owners. It's surely just saving face because we ****ed up getting rid of Nigel, then everyone we wanted rejected us and now we're trying to get the fans back on side. Well we'll all be on side until we're bottom after 10 games with barely a point. What a refreshing positive outlook you have
bovril Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Much much better than 90% of the other choices. As stated above, would fit in with the system and style of play that reaped rewards towards the end of last season. Martin O'Neill's Blue Army! (repeat ad infinitum)
woznotwos Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Didnt hear thedoorbell so he walked around the back
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 How do we know there's an interview today by the way? Heart says yes, head isn't so sure. I'd want Shakey and Walsh to remain in place for continuity.
Babylon Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Wonder how long it will take him to mention people protesting against him first time around... my bet would be 23 seconds.
escos Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Who is Barry O Mahony? Is he of any note? I wouldn't have thought so, as he has just started following me!!
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 But would the M'ON we all know want to work in European Head Coach structure, where he isn't in sole control?
Poznan34 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Any news that can take my mind off being caught on internet porn by the postman would be most grateful The real story here.
Fox92 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Who is Barry O Mahony? Is he of any note? Dunno. Location Cork so he might know a bit about the Irish side of things? I wouldn't have thought so, as he has just started following me!! And me!
Walshy5 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 After the shit we've been linked with in the last few days I would welcome this with open arms. The synic in me says this would be an appointment to try and keep the fans onside.
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 i hope as part of the interview we stipulate that he returns and works with the existing staff - he can bring one or 2 in but the existing staff remain in position - This is crucial to keep the stability of the club in tact - f**k him working with Lenny or any one else - we have to keep Shakey and Walsh nd if this is how it all finishes I'll be over the goddam moon!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 you watch internet porn near your mail Box? Hoping to get an extra hand - he wants to get caught!

FoxTrott Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 I'm in. All nostalgia a side, 2015/2016 is going to be a ride and a half... COME ON MARTIN!

Guest ttfn Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 As Finners said earlier this could work as long as he's only in charge of tactics, team selection and broadly running the playing side of the club. IF Shakespeare and Walsh stay this could work. If they go I think Big Sam will be in before the season is out.
Aus Fox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Now look at who else he brought in that wasn't a success. Delph isn't their best player, Benteke is, try again. Sir Alex bought Anderson, Bebe, Kleberson, Djemba Djemba, Zaha,Taibi, the list goes on all managers make bad signings, can't think of one O'Neill made here and as stated made many great signings for Villa.
kingcarr21 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Its going to be Lennon with O'Neill in a 'supervisory' role isnt it? O'Neill could probably still be Ireland boss then. Doesnt sound too bad considering what we have been linked with. Still wouldnt be too amused with it though.
Benji Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Difficult to judge this without considering everything he did for us. Really don't know what to think. Subjectively, if it's true the owners missed out on target no. 1 then this is a safe appointment for them with the fans.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 It would be an appointment, if made, that would galvanise the club from top to bottom - supporters and hopefully players
Hack Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 i hope as part of the interview we stipulate that he returns and works with the existing staff - he can bring one or 2 in but the existing staff remain in position - This is crucial to keep the stability of the club in tact - f**k him working with Lenny or any one else - we have to keep Shakey and Walsh nd if this is how it all finishes I'll be over the goddam moon! As much as we love the current staff, you never tell a manager who to work with. If he wants to bring in his team you do so they don't blame the management if things don't work out. I am sure most of the current staff will get a run no matter who they bring in.
Mark_w Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Danny Graham 5 million pounds I honestly thought now Nigel's gone you'd stop being miserable. How wrong was I.
Bramhall Fox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 I'm with Bernie on this one. His man-management was unbelievable. I remember Muzzy Izzet in a post-O'Neill interview saying that every member of the team would run through a brick wall for him. I've had the same vibe from the current players with Pearson, so am excited about this possibility. And, even if it didn't work out, no one can ever take the first MON memories away from me, and he's BY FAR the best candidate on the application list in my view. Come on - only one MON for the job!
