ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Was a great game to watch and terrific to see us come from 2 goals behind again to get a result. I don't think I have ever seen a Leicester team with such great spirit and that includes the MON era, we just don't know when we are beaten. Thought that Wes Morgan had a 'mare pretty much all afternoon. Massively at fault for their 2nd goal and looked very uncomfortable on a number of other occasions. He simply didn't look like a PL defender Today and I hope that doesn't sound harsh. Kante looks a great signing for us but he needs to be played in the right position! He is not a left midfielder! He looked a lot better in the 2nd half when he asked to play the role he is obviously most comfortable in. If Albrighton is not going to start then why can't Fuchs play LB and Schlupp further forward or am I missing something? Wish we could put in a 90 minute performance but we are 6 games unbeaten and are the only team not to lose a game. God help everyone if we start playing at our best over whole matches!
The Doctor Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 The result of this kind of attitude is that we're unlikely to ever win a cup because we'll just keep kicking the can down the road crying about how we're only 'pretty safe' rather than '100% safe'. If you can't take the League Cup seriously in this position I'm not convinced you ever will. Not at all, but get to the stage where we're like a Stoke or Swansea, never really in any danger before we go for multiple trophies. I'm fine with pretty safe, im not fine with "well we've had a good start so we'll be fine" - remember that idea being bandied around this time last year? Get to Christmas in a reasonable position then go for the fa cup.

Leicesterpool Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 They done it again! The foxes just don't know how to lose! First half we were pretty poor, defensively we were all over the place plus Inler's miss pass cost us badly, he had another stinker. Second half different team, different story. Clumsy pen from them slotted away perfectly by Mahrez and a fantastic long ball to Vardy, keeps our unbeaten run going. All I say is bring on the Arsenal! Thought we won it when Ulloa narrowly missed the post at the end. Kante MOTM! Also are Leicester ever going to keep a clean sheet again?
Hack Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Again we looked better when Albrighton came on and inler went off. CR needs to get the team right from the start next week. Maybe then we will get that clean sheet he keeps banging on about. Quit tinkering with a side that is playing well. Albrighton and schlupp as wing backs, Huth, wes, wasyl at the back, Kante, drinky king with vardes and okazaki up top. Winning formula. Play it! Wait, you just admonish Ranieri for tinkering and tell him not to tinker and then you change the formation and players with in two lines? What sort of nob are you?
The Doctor Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 What exactly is Hughes moaning about? It's a standard tussle, never a foul. Stoke need to stop being precious little bellends.
filbertway Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Apalling stuff from Morgan hahah. Not sure De Laet should be held totally accountable for that first. Shoddy defending considering it was 3 on 6 in that situation.
Corky Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Not quite sure what Morgan was trying to do- pass it back or clear it over his head?
pazzerfox Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Disagree with your goal analogies. You can pin point errors in all 4 goals. That is CR'S job on the match analysis with the players though. I wouldn't play Inler against West Ham at all. They will play in a similar way to Stoke and Villa. Obviously he can't keep up with the pace of that type of game. The Arsenal game is more like the game he would probably do ok in, slower build up play where Inler can read the game and intercept passes. Rather than fast paced reflex based football like today. Overall though, a good result today at the Britania. Tough place to get any points. Shane we couldn't have gone at them from the off instead. He needs to learn to keep up with the pace of the game, so surely we should play him in a game where he can get more used to the pace of it, whilst it not being as important.

Not with that drive on the attack and two wingbacks pushing that much forward whilst simultaneously (or as a consequence thereof), neglecting their defensive duties. So far, we've really only been found out on the wings - count the amount of goals against that have been created that way as opposed to goals coming straight through the center.

Track back and get back in position has to be the move there.
Kitchandro Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 What exactly is Hughes moaning about? It's a standard tussle, never a foul. Stoke need to stop being precious little bellends. It's disgraceful how much time motd gave to those two pussies moaning about a nothing challenge. Hughes has never taken disappointment like a man, look at his interviews every post match, it's always the ref's fault. Walters acts like he's a hard northerner but really he's just a dirty player who can't handle Morgan's strength. The defence may have parted like the Red Sea, but we've got to ask why de laet pressed and was turned so easily well within their half. Track back and get back in position has to be the move there. All 3 were to blame. Two piss poor goals to concede.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Inler ball watching and not tracking. Huth didn't challenge the ball in which didn't help Morgan, but he still should have dealt with it with ease.

Today's second Stoke goal came straight through the centre and the first, albeit DeLaet's fault to begin with - also came about because neither Inler nor Morgan did anything about the runner from central midfield - almost exactly like one of the goals in the Villa match if memory serves.
ALC Fox Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 How on Earth have West Ham joined us on 12 points? It's just insane that they've managed to beat Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City so far this season. I tipped them to go down with Bilic in charge. Quality comeback again from us, just a shame we gave Stoke a head start.
fuchsntf Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 I dont think city played that bad for the away side, in the first half, if city had took their chances it might of looked totally different.Dont misunderstand me, Stoke were better than city and played some nice football, but one sensed city was always in the game. Kante the buy of the season..???. For me yes. Do I prefer his style to Cambiassos, yes but has miles to go before I would say hes a better player than Esteban, But most likely to end up doing more for our club. Time will tell... Another thing Danny Drinkwater is slowly turning into a decent PL player. He just has to learn how to shoot better. Inler..mmm, I said this game he should play, we need to get him up to scratch. He needs to earn his place now. I would play Albrighton or king, especially against Arsenal.Give him game time against West.Ham.See for a few PL games what he does from the Bench, he needs to understand the fight and discipline and grow into THIS team. Its funny how things work out...Claudio Ranieri, for me the FIND of the season. Hes tried things out,I feel he needed to, hes made changes, and Subs, so far that as led us to be the only unbeaten team in the PL, by not changing too much with the teams character and ethic. We will lose one week, but unlike years gone by, next week against Arsenal could well be a further extension of pain to foxes doubters. Wenger will be going more crazy next week, with another Chelsea connection..Our Claudio!!! What a great time to be a city fan ! that

Matt Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Excellent stuff! Again thought it was over at 2-0 down but wrong again! Pretty similar to last week really, got for the first 10 minutes, then we went to sleep for the rest of the first half, came out well in the 2nd half and undid the damage. Great day, Brilliant away pub, loved the shuttle bus (There and back).
chesterfox Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 In my humble opinion, our problem remains the same as the one we brought with us from the Championship - we are not good enough to defend for a whole 90mins and therefore do we go for the positive or do we try the classic away performance? Yesterday we started off positively and went for the throat - we were caught out by two mistakes and two good finishes for which we can have no complaint. The spirit of this side though is second to none and the way we came back was immense. I believe a 3-5-2 formation is my favoured one because a Was or Fuchs can support and look after Wes when he makes the very odd mistake. It also allows for two wide players 3 midfielders and Vardy with Mahrez. Just ;loving my club at the moment though - look forward to every game at the moment
foxfanazer Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 I'm a bit disappointed with Okazaki so far. Looked quality for the first two games but he's been invisible since. I'd like to see Leo or Kramaric given a chance sooner or later
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Ranieri deserves little credit. If he'd started with the team that finished against Villa I'd have understood it. But repeating mistakes that he made in the first half selection in the Villa game only smacks of someone who refuses to see what's in front of his eyes. I couldn't agree more with this bit; I've had people telling me I need to remember who we are and stop being negative when we're 2-0 down and that our bubble will burst eventually, but really my moans have not been about those things. It is sheer frustration that mistakes made in the villa lineup which were probably apparent to almost 30,000 people were repeated again with yesterday's team!
Finn Claw II Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Nice finish and run by Vardy. Both the goals conceded have little to do with the formation and more with individual mistakes. RDL needed to concede a foul once the guy was inside, we then give him tonnes of space. Neither Huth nor Morgan looked good for the second.
