LinekersApples Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 I saw Duncan Norvelle in an airport. Obviously I shouted "chase me" (hilarious, I know) as I walked away and about 5 seconds later, someone else shouted "chase me". 5 seconds later... "chase me" repeat x 100. I also saw Dom Jolly in a beer garden. same as above with "HELLO!". There is a morale to this story and if you become famous and think a catchphrase is funny, take heed. Both seemed as if it had happened before
Vardinio'sCat Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 I don't want to bore everyone, because the number of b-list celebs I have met is truly epic, so I'll just drop one for the OAP's on here. I was once smashed to the floor by Pat Roach (I think he had abandoned the wrestling by that point), when he hit me with a giant inflatable fried egg. I've never been hit so heavily, or softly, in my life. Obviously, I scrambled to my feet as fast as I could.

I actually spoke to the dogs ("hello little doggies" to be precise) first then looked up and realised who it was - and we talked dogs, as dog people do. Had I seen her first, I doubt I would have said anything. And Liz Fraser is/was a titchy wee thing as I remember. One of our meets was on a bus (a routemaster) as we stood on the exit platform and both 'alighted' (as they say) at Ealing Broadway. I think it was the 207 Just realised, there's a theme here - Liz on a bus, Brix on a train, Chris on a plane. P'raps we ought rename the thread 'famous people you've met on public transport"! Iconic bus route. Top notch.

If i'm being honest i wasnt his biggest fan as a player, always thought he was a bit greedy. The money was horrendous for some. I have a few contracts of some players from that era and I will dig them out. The ones I have were at the top end, but the ones at the Gibbo end were very poor. I will have a look later and put on here without naming names
lcfc278 Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 I once saw Shane Richie doing the Daz doorstep challenge near my house Also saw Matt Mills, Neil Danns and Gelson Fernandes in Fat Cats, not long after theyd joined us, it was proper cringe, they were all posing at this table inviting girls over to them and none of them would go over. Walshy is a legend, always happy to have a chat and a photo whenever I've met him.
whoareyaaa Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 I met Robbie Savage at the traffic lights as he was flooring it in his Ferrari, that's about the closest I've come to meeting a celebrity

danny2997 Posted 15 June 2018 Posted 15 June 2018 I met Richie Wellens once and I think that's all I need.
duk3nuk3m Posted 15 June 2018 Posted 15 June 2018 I met Frank Worthington in the car park at St Andrews when we were playing Birmingham City in the 2013/2014 Championship season. Me and my stepdad had a photo with him but Wortho made his wife take it again because we didn't have clenched fists and "didn't look menacing enough". What a bloke
Spudulike Posted 15 June 2018 Posted 15 June 2018 I had a slash standing next to Billy Idol during the early Generation X days.
skegness fox Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 We had a friendly at boston united mid season when we sacked taylor and brought in harry bassett, i was stood behind the goal with a mate and matt jones came out after half time and watched the 2nd half with us and bought us a coffee, genuinly nice bloke shame about his injury as he was actually a good player that taylor bought
jamfox Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 I watched newcastle at home in the press box with Emile Heskey and Pegguy Arphexad in that year.. Emile very quiet man , nice guy but reserved you could see that the press was part of his life that he handled well but he was never going to be a Gary Lineker type he is also still built like a brick sh~t house . Peggy was funny just grinned all the time i never asked him about porn but i dont think he would of minded Also meet Nigel Person in Home Base just after the first time he left the club , was so open and talked for about ten mins about loads of under hand stuff that had been going on i was taken back with the stuff he was saying. i started off by saying "no hard feelings" and his eyes went a bit wild and he went off on one !! but just a really honest and friendly guy in a slightly menacing way, so just how he was on the TV.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 Len Glover, and Davie Gibson. Also Derek Dougan, when he was still at Aston Villa (in Alasio, Italy) Don Revie, and his famous Leeds team, at one of my late Brother-in Law's parties, which were well known in Leeds at the time.
Gary Eatfood Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 Gazza walked in front of my car today at the pedestrian lights at the top of Glenhills Boulevard. I had heard rumours that he was living in Wigston.
Dawko Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 Last season my mate accidentally walked out in front of Matty James' Range Rover. Matty had to brake so hard to avoid killing my mate that he must have injured himself because he never actually played again after that.

ARTY_FOX Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 Bumped into troy deeney watching his lad a tournament today (was with my u11's team) was lovely to everyone took pictures with people that asked with no hesitation. Big fella he is.
Katy Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 My mum and step dad are really good friends with Russell Grant and his partner, my step dad is his gardener in Wales. Met him loads of times and spent New Years Day with him one year. I have also met Jack Butland (once, really nice bloke) Xherdan Shaqiri (several times, he’s hilarious and sweet and not anything like people assume he is) Lee Evans (exactly how you’d imagine he is) Frank Skinner (teased me for wearing a Leicester shirt but was quite sweet) None of this lot have played for Leicester...yet! As for my friends, you’d have to ask them.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 I've met lots but the best for me are Lady Diana The Earl and Countess of Wessex Anthony Joshua
Spudulike Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 I went fishing with Chris Tarrant. I'd spent the day trying not to do any Who wants to be a millionnaire quotes as that would be uncool and I assumed that he would be fed up of hearing it. We had a barbeque and one of the lads had his missrs on the mobile who didn't believe that Chris Tarrant was there. He asked him to speak to her, which he was happy to do, and launched straight into.... Hello Sandra, I've got Mike here who's on £32,000 and needs your help....
