Guest kristianity77 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I get the same feeling of dread when Mahrez steps up for a pen exactly how I used to feel with Nugent. Was shouting at the TV today that he was going to miss it as he'd been anonymous up until that point in the game. With Mahrez you get the feeling it really is 50/50 for a goal (which his stats almost suggest it is). Missing 3 out of 7 is borderline criminal.

Fuchs?) - either go for the corners or smash it. He just jogs up and pokes it anywhere, and has cost us valuable points he looks like he cant be arsed in literally everything hes done since he joined the club tbf, think he's just cool like that

We are at the top on points of the EPL and if this is the best penalty taker we have then things must be bad ... His last 2 pens wouldn't have looked out of place in a local Sunday pub league .... SURELY we must have someone who can do better. CR please get this sorted, it's not only costing us but it's bad for my health !
Spiritwalker Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 when it comes to penalties, inches make the difference. another day and that peno goes in or the keeper dives the wrong way. think we need to change it though. mahrez should understand no one has a right to take penalties and he's missed the last two. The keeper did dive the wrong way, other than missing the target he could not have taken a worse penaltystraight ,low and soft.

lee7 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Either absolutely smash the ball or don't nother taking a pen at all. Two sloppy pens have cost us 4 points. Don't get me wrong he's had an amazing season but the last few games he's looked disinterested and played badly.

I'd like Vardy to take them, but anyone that has confidence to take them, can have a go. If we are winning and we get a penalty, there's no pressure, so just blast the leather off it. We have eleven footballers on the pitch, so they should all be capable of taking a penalty, but Mahrez should be last choice after the last pathetic efforts. While I'm in slagging off mood, Mahrez should start on Wednesday instead of Gray. Gray can start the next league game if Mahrez can't be asked to show up.

Great record previously. As for mahrez he shouldn't take the next one. Not only has he missed two he's missed two shocking ones. Vardy back on them now please

Had that peno gone in yesterday we would have defo won and probably won comfortably. I knew he was gonna miss and we should not be thinking that when one of our players steps up to take a pen.
