The Doctor Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Against Everton the keeper went the right way and he still scored. "Worst" penalty we've scored this season was Vardy at Norwich. The one where he rolled it and had howard not gone leaping off would have had been able to pick it up blindfolded? Guys just not a penalty taker, far too casual and sloppy. Vardys penalty against Norwich wasn't that bad, beats the keeper for sheer power if nothing else. Okazaki really bedding in now, looks excellent again.

A lot of misplaced passes, another terrible Mahrez penalty...but we do lead. Definite pen. Should that not be a red though? It's either both or neither surely??? yes definetly.
Guest ttfn Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Seemed odd that it wasn't a red for the handball, but I can see why it was a yellow as it hit them (nobody would have been able to react to that). Mahrez is so much like Messi he takes penalties as badly as him. Not a particularly enthralling half but could be 2-1 up. Got 40 on us to win and over 2.5 goals. So pretty annoyed with Riyad atm. If it's not a red card it's not a penalty. Mahrez' shot is on target and very possibly out of the keeper's reach - it's probably worse than just denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

Richmondfox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 im not knocking mahrez but it seems the last 4 games his enthusiam has weened and his desire to run at players with dribbles has been replaced with a slower approach looking for the killer pass ? infact the whole team the last few games does not seem as aggresive . maybe tiredness is now starting to set in and claudio has told them to slow down a bit and start to manage the game in a different way The last few games Riyad is getting fouled when he attempts to take someone on.
