norwichfox Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 I think he'll sign a new deal soon. Why? Have you seen or heard anything to that effect, or is it just a feeling you have?
lgfualol Posted 6 July 2016 Posted 6 July 2016 Look forward to his announcment in a week Ah shit thought this was musa thread
st albans fox Posted 10 July 2016 Posted 10 July 2016 ITK tweet from a wannabe agent says he only has to pass medical to become lpool player. If you want to be pedantic, that could be said about anyone!
sm1 Posted 10 July 2016 Posted 10 July 2016 If he goes we could go in for Rico Henry. Leeds apparently want him and are willing to offer Walsall 1M. Chilwell goes for 7M+ and we get Rico for 1-2M.

fuchsntf Posted 10 July 2016 Posted 10 July 2016 Look Fuchs had a great season with us. I want to definitly Keep him at Leicester. But..!! I dont think he should be automatically seen as first choice. Chilwell should be pushing his case, I wouldnt mind if Ranieri gives him license to prove himself, in the 1st few games of the season. Both he and Fuchs will be important to us this coming Expansive Fixture of a season.. And yes I would be giving youth the nod, because thats the idea of squad building. Good youngsters supported by experienced older heads. Both if and when chosen could see 30+ games this season. Chilwell starting his full career, and Fuchs having more than enough games to show he can prolong his Leicester career . Its now time, not to have favourites for 1 position, fans need to recognise the squad has to be used to its full potential. .
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 If he goes we could go in for Rico Henry. Leeds apparently want him and are willing to offer Walsall 1M. Chilwell goes for 7M+ and we get Rico for 1-2M. Would prefer strong competition at left back for now. For me if Chilwell goes I would pay up & get Brady, or maybe to throw a name In the hat Tyrone Mings. I know he's been injured last year but he was amazing before that. On Rico Henry though a player with his ability, who is available for a cheap fee, who is English & only based down the road really it would be daft of us to not make a move for him. We should Sign him up & have an agreement with Leeds if they are interested that they can have him on loan for the season next year. Rico wouldn't have to worry about moving if he's with us as it's an easy route so he can stay at home. (Which I thinks vital for young talent coming through) If we're serious about investing in our youth team & future development players, people like Rico Henry & let's say Che Adams are players we should be targeting! Worse comes to worse you pay a couple of million for them & they don't make the cut, then you only recoup half of the fee you paid. We need to seriously start investing in our youth set up. Our facilities are one of the best out of the premiership elite yet the talent that comes out of it is abysmal. Now is the perfect time to invest in the youth set up as many young lads will be massively attracted to the hype around the club at this moment in time.

Basically then:- Have a great season, help win us the Premiership title for the first time in our history and we'll retain you as part of the squad. Do little of note except give a goal away in an otherwise okay performance against Spurs and avoid committing yourself to a new contract, and we'll promote you from the bench into Fuch's place! Who wrote the bit about selling Chilwell and getting Rico plus £5m-odd change? Cos that's more the line I'd be looking along.

Christ, this forum really has moved on. Not that I recall ever given a thought to a player's nationality when judging his abilities as a footballer - or in general for that matter. I do lament our inability to complete the development of academy players but it'll be even harder now with the level we play, the risks involved and our ability to buy ready-made talent.
Sir Claudio Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Schlupp can play left back, people seem to be forgetting about him.
Gerard Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Schlupp can play left back, people seem to be forgetting about him. This time last year i was an advocate of playing Schlupp at left back and let him learn his trade. He already had good attacking instincts and was an incredible athlete with stamina, power and speed. Now I believe I would still love a player like that as full back but they have to be a proper full back first. After Simpson and Fuchs were introduced at the expense of De Laet and Schlupp I admit I was probably wrong and defensive attributes are a must and anything on top is a bonus.
Dan Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Schlupp isn't a left back and never will be. Watched the season review the other day and he just hasn't got the defensive brain.
hackneyfox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Schlupp isn't a left back and never will be. Watched the season review the other day and he just hasn't got the defensive brain. He doesn't appear to have an attacking brain either.
Babylon Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Schlupp can play left back, people seem to be forgetting about him. Oh no, we remember... we also remember all the goals we conceded when he did.
VLC86 Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Schlupp isn't a left back and never will be. Watched the season review the other day and he just hasn't got the defensive brain. Just missing the brain as a whole I recon.
Countryfox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Just missing the brain as a whole I recon. I think there is a birds nest in there ... sure I saw one fly out his ear once when he ran down the wing.
4everfox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 He doesn't appear to have an attacking brain either. Rubbish
Babylon Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Rubbish Lets rephrase that... "He doesn't appear to have any attacking ability either."

He may develop into a great player and i hope he does, but currently he's second to Fuchs. Son gave him a torrid time in the first Spurs game and when i saw him in the U21 tournament in the summer, he looked poor. Constantly giving the ball away and was one of our poorest players. Compare and contrast that to Greys performance for the U21s. Hes looked a class act. Targett from Southampton looks a better player in all honesty.
hackneyfox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 He doesn't appear to have an attacking brain either. Rubbish Lets rephrase that... "He doesn't appear to have any attacking ability either." He's only dangerous when he acts instinctively, if he thinks we're fcuked. How many times does he fail to move into space until told to by other players? Used to think he was bottling it, now I just think he's clueless.
