Also in that game John O'Shea with a horror tackle and not even a yellow. More than made up for the debatable red last week.
Tuna Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Swansea run in: Stoke H Man United A Everton H Sunderland A West Brom H What do we think they'll get? I'm going for 9/10 at most. Hoping Stoke will be on it next week as losing to them could put Swansea into form. Don't want that.

Only win they'll get is probably Sunderland. Draws at most against Stoke and WBA, and lose the other two. 5 points max.

They can't catch us, they are 9 points behind us with a far inferior GD. If they manage to somehow get 13 points from that, we only need 4 points from our remaining 6 - Bournemouth and Watford at home should take care of that.
Spiritwalker Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 For us to be relegated we would need to lose all our remaining games and both Boro and Swansea would have to pick up some incredible results. We're safe. After the next couple of fixtures I expect us to be mathematically safe.
Koke Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Reminder to Poch we finished 11 points (eleven) ahead of the best ever team in the world. He's acting like we won the league on goal difference.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 I don't get why Hoddle and McManaman are so confused, Forster clearly brushes the ball ever so slightly with his hand there, how many angles do they want?
Chico1958 Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 In other news Sun Journalists banned from Everton ........ so the rumour goes
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Also in other news - Arsenal and Liverpool ITKs saying Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool is done, fee thought to be around £35 million quid. His contract runs out summer 2018...
FrankieADZ Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 after the results today, its 1 from 2 to go down with Boro and Sunderland, imo i think it will be Swansea, guess in the end its come back to bite some of the swansea fans on the bum when we played them in saying we are going down....

I'm thinking they're signing him because they lose a lot of pace in attack when Mane is injured. Granted he's no Mane, but it'll mean they can play a similar style.

He's acting like we won the league on goal difference. I don't get this view that other teams were desperate for us to win the title. WBA, Newcastle, Palace, Saints, Sunderland and West Ham pushed us incredibly hard, it was only Swansea that we beat comfortably before Everton and after Man City and the title was won by then. Tottenham won 3-0, 3-0 and 4-0 during that time too. They are playing very well and ruthlessly dispatching the lesser sides in the league at the moment, let's see if they can climb above Chelsea and remain there. Holding on to a lead is completely different to chasing from a way back.
Mark_w Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Really hope they stay within touching distance of Chelsea long enough for us to end their hopes in the penultimate game of the season.
Wymsey Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Genuinely think this season, in particular, has been one of the most-boring/predictable league standings for a while. Only real surprise, so far, is Arsenal on the verge of finishing outside the top-four for the first time in 20 years.
Super_horns Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Today's game summed up why Swansea probably will go down.. Tidy on the ball but a bad mistake for our goal and in attack pretty toothless despite us trying to sit back on the lead. The bad news for them is we have Hull next week and they are pretty strong at home it seems.
weller54 Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Spuds supporter's cheering Wilshere's injury... Classy!... ....horrible Bellends!

Stadt Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 Sané has been brilliant this season, great signing especially as he's what 20? 21.
