Merging Cultures Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 We need at least three big, tall, strong players. CB, CM and CF. We were physically inferior.

Was Schlupp injured, odd wasn't even on the bench, as he good player to bring on with his speed and control Omitted from the squad because it looks like he's off to WBA.
tyfox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Losing is habit forming and that pre season has shattered our momentum
crisp packet Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Our we as fans becoming complacent ?!? Awful again (as we was at Wembley) Very very flat.

Said it back in June, we should have gone for Rondon, instead of wasting a month on deeney. We've got lots of small quick players but no beasts in midfield or attack.
ceebeefox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 They scored 2 goals that they didn't create. Didn't water the pitch cleverly as the ball stuck on the grass and our wide men couldn't get it out of their feet. We did however create chances that on another day would be taken. That said we were poor and had no pace or rhythm to our play and, like Barca game Schlupp may have livened it up but not on bench? He is off to WBA.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 It's a good job i'm going out tonight after Leicesters attempt at ruining my day.
Maria Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 So much negativity already. At least the plastic fans won't be too worried about not getting tickets. For goodness sake this is the first match. in my opinion pre season was disastrous. Los Angeles and Europe. Too much travel, Pleae let's stay positive and get behind the boys. For God Sake don't boo if we lose next week to arsenal. KEEPTHE FAITH
tyfox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 If spuds and man city lose I will feel a bit better

We won't win games when conceding goals like this. It's like going back to the Pearson days in the Prem. Needs sorting. Agreed. Defence has looking dodgy and is making our attackers even more anxious. Hope we sort this out one way or another.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 We didn't play well and Hull were up for it. Fair play to them. They defended really well. Interestingly, can't remember a single offside, probably due to how deep they defended.
tsintskaro Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Yeap Ranieri is right, there was no team effort today
foxinyourbox Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Losing only three last season highlights what a poor result this was today. Lineker's gonna look like a right prat in his trolleys tonight.
Tuna Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Anothershitseason is thawing from his cryochamber as we speak...

He's an average player to be honest, carried by Kanté and the system Claudio Ranieri set up. This from a very below average poster
HankMarvin Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 CR left it to long before making changes You don't need to be a footballing genius to see the way the game was going, the player heat maps must just basically be down the wings, Mahrez was doing a rooney and dropping too deep
It'sblueupnorth Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Exactly what we deserved to be honest. Need to be better than that. Onto the next one
sdb Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Oh dear!! That was a shambles. I don't expect miracles this season but some common sense in approaching the game would've been nice. 2 enforced changes so why make more to a (title) winning team?... Remove the workhorses. Put Andy King in a midfield two where we know he just cannot impose himself. Wasyl surely would've been a safer bet at CB and in doing all this we left our bench lacking any real threat. Surely start Shinji and Albrighton and throw on quicker more dynamic players if and when needed. Very poor!! Love the t-shirt though. We need a CDM so bad it hurts. If King starts next week Arsenal will have a field day (and I do love Kingy before anyone starts but not in that system).
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Two biggest worries for me is the need for another striker and needing another way to play. When the Vardy/Mahrez duo dosen't work, I do not know what we revert to and today was the same.
