huth elbowing the shit out of everyone to a centre half with one bright white boot and one bright pink boot. pretty much the only difference really.

Yep, next time Huth is out, Was should play. Like for like.

Fair play Hull. Looked as hungry as us what seems like a lifetime ago. We were shocking. Back four pretty pathetic, midfielders  ineffective and Mahrez looks like an Arsenal player, completely anonymous when we need him most.

I hate to say it but losing Kante is a massive blow for the squad. As someone else pointed out teams can now attack Leicester through the middle again without fear of their attack being cut out. Is Mendy as effective as Kante is? I'm not sure. Not only that but isn't Mendy the only out and out defensive minded midfielder in the squad? Without depth in that position you're going to struggle with the extra games in the champions league.

What was it they said no defending champions have lost their first match the following season since Barney Rubble played for Bedrock ....   Good old Leicester always ripping up the book !

Too many changes from last seasons team. Albrighton should havr started instead of gray. Hernandez aint very good. We should be making every effort to keep hold of schlupp cos i think were gonna need him.

Disgusting performance.  Disgraceful result.  An absolute shambolic Hull City side were better than us in every single department today.

I said before the game started that staying up is a bonus considering the joy we got from last season but that was a humiliation.

If King is seriously our first choice for CM then the owners need to spend some serious cash to sort that out.  There's no excuse not to do that as our current net spend has been roughly £0 this summer.

If we play that against Arsenal then I fear for us in that game I really do.

Fair play to Hull.

But it was us being extremely poor that gifted it to em. I'm unsure how the team can play that badly after last season.

Kante is a loss, but not that much of one that we turn into the team I just saw. Fingers crossed that was a complete freak of a game and we sort ourselves out.

maybe we ain't fit enough after our pre-season?

Im struggling to cling onto something positive here

Fair play to Hull, they played with a lot of spirit.

We were very poor. Losing is okay when you at least do your best. We weren't even close to that. Wake up call.

We have to come out much stronger next week!

It wasn't the midfield that cost us the game so anyone blaming Kante's loss is delusional. We made 2 sloppy errors and continuously gave the ball away. Thought Hernandez got better as the game went on but was still poor.

By the time we found our rhythm Hull had 11 men behind the ball so was always going to be difficult. Think next week will be different, we'll be fired up and at home. No need to panic, but obviously a disappointing result.

It was really quite astonishing and extremely concerning to see that performance which was as far removed from last season as possible.

Ah we started slow last season too. We've had a busy summer with games all over the place. We have also made a fair few signings who need to settle in. Give it time, we will be back on form soon enough. Gray looks like a new signing and Musa looks useful. Drinky had another good game and King made some important challenges too. It's not all bad.

Similar to last week, with our shooting boots (which will come) we would have finished that off before half time. We could have been 3 or 4 up at ht had we finished the chances we made. Second half was always going to be tough with Hull having taken the lead before ht, although the second goal was just a calamity. Onwards and upwards.

Hull haven't lost at home for quite a long time as well. Interesting fact to bare in mind. Their home form was really strong last season.

It's hard to justify being mad after everything we've been given by them for the last year, but I can't take anything positive from that.

Gray was only interested in shooting. Mahrez wasn't interested period, bottling every 50/50. Defence was all over the place. Vardy wasn't in the game.

With the exceptions of Musa and Drinkwater, maybe Okazaki when he came on, everybody was dire. Dreading next week now if we're going to put in a repeat performance. We'll be put to the sword.

The difference between Kanté and King is astronomical.

Vardy was the worst I've seen him since the Championship.

Really really poor.

Poor performance, passing was shocking and Hull were expecting the long ball to Vardy. Need to wake up for Arsenal next game. Fair play to Hull though they wanted it more and got the result they wanted.

Thanks for that input, I'm sure the boys on this forum with more than 5 posts hadn't ever thought of your considerations :) x

That was rubbish, you can't defend it. Lack of match sharpness showed... never again should we even consider such a pre season, Vardy is miles of the pace and mahrez was the worst I have seen him play. They all let us down today.

Hull played with hunger and wanted to win and we didn't, we just waited for the ball to come to us and hope for the best at times. The passing seemed like we weren't even looking, just hit and hope it finds a blue shirt.

Well done to Hull well deserved win in my view.
