I don't know about Portugal, but in Spain I think contracts must have release clauses...although they can be very high.

Think we went in for one player and just thought a deal could have been done for another, maybe with the same agent, but now doesn't look possible. Just hope it doesn't scupper the move for Slimani. I expect us to go after other midfielders but we would have to move quick for it to happen in 2 days.

Adriens's desire to leave Sporting is what is causing the problem. If they feel we have tapped him up, it could easily affect the Slimani deal.
