Can one of you call yourself "SilvaSurfer" or something equally as cringey on Twitter? Then we would have gone full Arsenal.

No mate, nearly. He's coming but we've not signed him.

Hi again guys. Sorry for the late but I was having a real hard time to eliminate a post that I accidentally quoted.

In first place, I want to reinforce my opinion about your club and you guys. Just the simple fact that you stopped calling us Sporting Lisbon is, altough being such a mundane thing, a very kind gesture from you. For that, a huge thanks, I'm truly amazed.

Now, about the current situation, I think it is going to be very hard for Adrien to leave the club, taking in account that the club had to take an official announcement. Now, taking in account both the player and the club reactions, and acknowledging the inflexibility of our president when the players try to force their move against the club will, one of this things is going to happen:

- Leicester pays the full 45M€ termination clause;

- The player accepts the fact that the club's conditions for the transfer were not met;

- The player rejects that fact and is put to the side until is commited again with the club's plan.

I'm aprehensive. Let's see what happens.

Been here long enough to know I'm meant to say something like "it's not like you to be so upbeat", but you're right, it ain't.

Thinking we will turn back to N'Zonzi if this deal doesn't work out. Silva or N'Zonzi I'd be happy with.

This is the way to sign players imo

Him on Vardy on Fifa 17. Perfect mix. Vardy's pace and Slimani's headers. Musa super sub. I will never lose again :trumpet:

Not having this €45 Mill release clause.Player have them so clubs can't block a move so easily.Would he really agree to have it set that high!

I don't know about Portugal, but in Spain I think contracts must have release clauses...although they can be very high.

 Kudos to the Sporting fans who have posted on here, they seem very polite given the circumstances.

I'm a bit worried this will upset the Slim deal... folks don't like selling their captains, funnily enough.

For the record, I still doubt this is going to happen.

Hopefully we can get the Slimani deal over the line, and maybe an actual defensive midfielder N'Zonzi/Camacho, but would be happy if it ends up just being Slimani

I doubt a move of this size will happen in such a short space of time. Think we went in for one player and just thought a deal could have been done for another, maybe with the same agent, but now doesn't look possible. Just  hope it doesn't scupper the move for Slimani.

I expect us to go after other midfielders but we would have to move quick for it to happen in 2 days.

I can't see it having any effect on the Slimani deal, purely due to his friendship with Mahrez & his desire to leave Sporting.

Adriens's desire to leave Sporting is what is causing the problem. If they feel we have tapped him up, it could easily affect the Slimani deal.
