foxy boxing Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 it is just a bit of fun ribbing spurs fans i mean it is really funny them coming third in a two horse race, we don't really hate spurs that much it just that last season they were our rivals for the premier league. they gave as good as they got last season. it was harry kane that started it with his pictures of lions stalking their prey

He needs to perform when he puts on an England shirt and stop looking like a gormless, lost child on his first day of school. All very well tapping them in for Spurs, but if he wants to be considered a top player, he needs to start actually doing something for England!

Don't just isolate Kane there. Kane has scored 20+ goals for the last two Premier League seasons now and that cannot be argued with. He'll probably end up with 20 this year too. The attitude towards him on here is so weird. He's a top player. As for "tap ins" who cares, that's what strikers are supposed to do ask our very own Gary Lineker about that.

Matt Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 81 - 70 = 11 point swing in the favour of the 'nobodies', big difference between 'nobodies' and the mighty Spuds. Come on, you do the maths.
Stadt Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Harry Kane was complete dogshit for us and he's got a big melty McMelt face and all the media love him when he's performed well for you but not for England, he shushed us (I think) and he scored the worst "hattrick" ever against us and he's got a big ugly melty face, he can't talk properly, he's really ugly and he's overrated and he's got a big melty dribbly face.
bovril Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Because my Dad supports them and is constantly going on about the 61 team. Thankfully my Mum is from Leicestershire (I always loved her more).

I don't have anything against you guys really, but I've noticed you guys seem to be starting to hate us a lot and I can't really understand why, so I thought I'd ask you guys why you seem to dislike us. Thanks. Don't really hate Spurs , in fact as a young kid I followed them - not LCFC!! But....its hard to like a team with that amount of talent who play so dirty, and to have a manager who seems to think that's acceptable. It's like Clough told the Leeds players - you don't need to play like that.

Wasn't it Spurs the other season ( not last)when we scored some of them decided to spit on you as you were right near their block?
Corky Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 I know a few Spurs fans and they are alright. Cannot stand Dele Alli at all but Pochettino seems a decent bloke.

MPH Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Kane isnt over rated. thats a silly thing to say... But what he hasnt yet done is produce it for England. There's been many a class strikers who have failed to do that. What hasnt helped him over in Leicester was his loan spell. He was absolute doggo for us. But it he wasnt helped by the fact he was played on the wing for most of the loan spell..

Finnegan Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Tbh, Kane hit one or two worldies but I'm pretty sure I'd be their top goalscorer every year if the team had no other goalscorers but about eighteen creative playmakers setting me up all game every game.
Jimothy Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Kane is slightly over rated. He's obviously a very good goalscorer but he needs to do two things to be a good player. First he needs to think a bit more. His style is just get the ball, shoot. Get the ball, shoot. He rarely looks to bring a teammate into play. He wastes so many opportunities by just shooting from ridiculous distances and angles, or shooting when there's a defender right in front of him and he could play a teammate in. The other thing he needs to do is start scoring important goals. Too many of his goals were a brace in a big win. Spurs failed last year by not eeking out victories in those tight games, or nicking a draw from a losing position. There was a stat doing the rounds at one point at one point last season that if you removed all Kane's goals Spurs would be better off points wise because his only decisive goal was an OG in a draw at Swansea. I've just looked at the whole of last season, if you took away Kane's goals they'd be 11 points worse off, by comparison if you took Vardy's away from Leicester we'd be 33 points worse off. It's one thing getting a hat trick in a shallacking of Bournemouth, it's another scoring the deciding goal in tight game like Vardy did on numerous occasions. He needs to step up.
Vacamion Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 How on earth did we get this far into the thread without anyone mentioning Glenn fookin Hoddle, Garth fookin Crooks and Gary "guess what disease I may bang on about" Mabbut? Standards are slipping. That's without even mentioning the holy quadrifaeces that is Osvaldo, Ricky, Chas and Dave and the godawful early summer of 1981.
MC Prussian Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 Tottenham have been laying dormant in Arsenal's and Chelsea's shadow for too long, hence the inherent inferiority complex which has now turned into a massive ego boost platform with Spurs finishing third in the league for the first time in 25 (?) years. A large portion of their fanbase has never seen anything like it or that "fluid" football under Pochettino, they had to put up with mediocrity and hopes of grandeur for a long, long time. Heck, even Fulham (!) stole their limelight on a regular basis not so long ago. All of that manifests itself with a certain dose of cockiness - they're a London club, after all. Boasting about even the smallest achievement comes natural to them. What I dislike about Spurs? The deluded portion of their fanbase (TFC), the amount of delusion of grandeur in general, the sense of self-entitlement, the expectations, the media love-in from London papers (go figure), the scale of self-appreciation, Dele Alli (lightweight, diving tw*t), Harry Kane to a certain extent (no brains, but a more-than-decent footballer), banging on about a league title in the 60ies. In essence, regular bottle-jobs describes Tottenham Hotspur the best. It's like that villain with all these great plans which never come to fruition because the villain sabotages himself on a regular basis or doesn't manage to go the final few yards.

foxfanazer Posted 1 November 2016 Posted 1 November 2016 I wouldn't worry too much fella, we're just jealous. Ok so we won the league by 10 points... big whoop! You invented total football, have a load of players in the England team (thanks for that) and are just superior to us in pretty much everyway. Dele Alli is the future of English football Your fans are very humble too which helps. The "We're cumming for you" chant was flattering but a little bit cringey. I just don't get the hate towards such a footballing powerhouse
