Guest ttfn Posted 10 December 2016 Posted 10 December 2016 He was bang up for it today, thundering into tackles and harassing defenders. It's no surprise that once the basics were in place he was getting more opportunities in front of goal. The finish for his 3rd was outrageous, he had absolutely no right to score from that angle.

AyewJoking Posted 10 December 2016 Posted 10 December 2016 love all of his goals today. the third, he does it all on his own. anticipates the back pass, intercepts it and scores from a crazy angle. was a crucial goal too considering mancs mini revival at the end.
Matt Posted 10 December 2016 Posted 10 December 2016 Where's he been all season?! Welcome back Vards, please don't go AWOL again though!

How he squeezes that in from that angle I would never know, he would have had to hit a spot about the thinkness of a piece of paper...

Granted his missus is a tool, Jamie, like most Footballers, are having a bad spell. It happens. I doubt even most Chelsea supporters would've talked this much s**t about Hazard last season and they're the most pathetic bunch in the League. Get a grip, you're all acting like it's be all end all. Should he be starting? like any other fringe player that plays poorly they shouldn't get a start, same with Vardy. But Jesus Christ some of these comments are sickening. How right was I.
NewEnglandFox Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 I'm looking forward to seeing Vardy's 3rd in an impossible goal compilation on Youtube.

Mike Oxlong Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 I've given him peters recently but yesterday he was at it from the off. He led by example with his harrying and all here goals were quality. More of the same please JV. Don't think anyone in the professional game has ever scored 11 consecutive hat tricks.

kingpowerout Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 I think all 3 of his goals prove he is a natural finisher. There is a lot of debate in the media as to whether he is or not. He shut up the doubters yesterday. goal 1) if you watch the replay he didn't even look at the goal he instinctively knew where it was and the angle to shoot at goal 2) perfect strikers goal, rounding the keeper with his first touch and slotting home goal 3) no right to score from that angle but did with great finesse. Welcome back Jamie, now please go on a similar run to last season!
ithuriel Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 Doubt was never over his finishing but over his desire. He harried and chased down more balls yesterday than he has all this seasons previous league games. Mahrez actually passed balls too rather than trying to beat everyone on his own. We have our team back at long last
norwichfox Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 Will Arsenal be back for him in January? Will he get a pay rise now he's got a hat trick? He absolutely showed what a natural instinctive striker he is yesterday. His lean spell must have been ripping him apart inside, great to be back on track. Less than four goals against Bournemouth will not be accepted

This is performance we have wanted him to give for the previous 15 games. Looked like his old self yesterday, no pointing & passing players on like he has been doing. He was harassing, pressuring, closing down and he got his reward.

Max Power Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 The signs were good in the first 30 seconds where he closed down and barged over Kolarov. It was a foul but I don't think I'd seen Vardy do that for months. Hopefully we've got our tenacious, nasty centre forward back.
filbertway Posted 11 December 2016 Posted 11 December 2016 Was great to see him stay on his feet for the first goal as well, shows how much he wanted to score.
