You're forgetting Albrighton rarely beats the first man and Musa can't control the ball

did you not see his crosses to Slimani against west ham? He doesn't need to beat his man. On the right he is dangerous. Simple as. I know bashing Albrighton is flavour of the month, but on the RW he creates chances.

As for Musa, he's our best option at LW in my opinion. Against Spurs & Palace he put in two solid, consistent performances, assisting in both attack and defence. Gray is inconsistent, greedy and lacks an end product so I'd rather play Musa.

Has anyone found Jimmy Kebe yet?

Classic, Bertram probably bumped him off for making him look like a fool.

He's a free agent.

GERRIMIN

Obvious reason for that, nobody knows where he is, no doubt Bertram knows though.

And he doesn't like playing there from what I've read.

Not at all and he's not really effective on that side.

I've said it before, I find it really baffling Karanka has set out using two proper attacking midfielders (Ramirez and Downing) on either flank, where they lose their impetus quickly because neither player is fast or skilled enough to get past opposing full-backs (Ramirez is technically better in a one-on-one, though).

I guess they're after at least one proper winger to ease their troubles in the attacking department and adding more support for Negredo, with Traoré being an utterly frustrating player to watch - their defense is fine, I think.

Yeah saw the same thing one of his grievances for wanting out was supposedly he wants to play down the middle.

Then again he could hardly say his wife caught him chatting up the local lasses and wants him away from boro :)  or I'm a greedy fecker and leicester will pay more money.

I also saw on a boro forum. ''we will be f****ed if Ramirez goes he's our best player, Maybe West Ham sign him to replace Payet'' which could bode well

I love this defence of albrighton, did you see the assist against West Ham, yes great ball, what was it something like his second assist in twelve months, in a title winning side.

Yes every now and again he puts in a good cross, but strikers need regular good balls, not his more usual, hit it around the corner, punt it long, or just pass to the opposition.

Villa got rid for a reason, I'm guessing they didn't renew his contract because he doesn't perform on a regular basis.

Stick Vardy at LB and see how he does. I'm convinced that is the difference in quality between Albrighton as a RW and a LW. He is a RW 100%. He's a different player down the left. Villa managed to go from a solid prem side with big support and a good squad to getting relegated through poor management. Albrighton is a premier league champion. I don't think Villas judgement counts for much in a debate

Very brave of Bert if he is trolling. With the papers all reporting that Ramirez is set on a move to Leicester, then you would think this one actually has legs.

After reading a lot about him on the Boro forums, the most encouraging thing I read about him, was his workrate and defending from the front.

I'm often worried when you sign flair players, that you can end up with someone who can create some magic, but is often a passenger and fails to work hard and put a foot in.

Ramirez sounds different to that stereotype and although he may not be the answer to all our problems, at least we know we aren't signing someone who will fail to work hard.

I also like the idea that he can take a decent set play and chip in with some goals. I am sure there are better players out there, but for a January signing, this is a decent enough one.

So I take it Bert was trolling?

I've asked Bert and it's genuine from what he's been told so fingers crossed chaps.

Apparently just formalities now!

Good news. I hope the Saints game didn't put him off too much!

Boro look more like staying up than us at the moment :sweating:

I know there are mixed reactions to this one, but it is a type of player we don't have in our squad. He is a good age, played a few seasons in the League and capped many times for his country.

Anything under 15 million, for a player that could give us a much needed boost in creativity, but not sacrifice our (old) work ethic, is a decent bit of business.

Many Boro fans say that he is their only creative outlet and they are blunt without him, so he certainly comes with plenty of praise from them.

This and Zouma on loan, as well as a RB please and I will feel happier.

Who has said Zouma is a possibility?!

Sorry for moment of excitement. No links at all and no reports of being made available on loan.

I just would love it to happen as he hasn't played for them since coming back from injury and Conte even bought Ake back in his words to try at CB, so wonder why Zouma is being left out.

Thought might mean we could get him on loan but nothing in this apart from my own wish list.
