Bryn Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 He's gonna get slammed after the game so I'm going to get in early. He's knackered. Absolutely exhausted. Easy to forget how young he is and how many games he's playing in a midfield two with subpar players.

If he's that bad a referee can sprint past at three times the pace come off, we had 2 subs left at the time.
Webbo Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 I'm not sure why people are blaming Ndidi for their third. It was Maguire fvcking about that cost us that goal. There was nothing wilf could do about it.

Monsell1976 Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Thought he was one of our best players today, ok gave silly balls away when the game was stretched, but he was everywhere.

And he then strolled back with the ref overtaking him. Maguire got back from further. No excusing it, ndidi should have been busting a gut to get back, if he couldn't he should have asked to be subbed off.

The way Maguire plays we will see this a few times this season but it’s the price we pay when he calmly brings it out. I do feel Ndidi is worse this year but at his age he needs an experienced partner (or two!) to help him out. Losing Drinkwater without Silva is frustrating, especially as Iborra is not yet up to speed.
Tielemans63 Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 I must be missing something as I think N'didi has been ace in a very light midfield. Baffled by the stick he's getting. Imagine the midfield without him. Case closed.

Tuna Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Thought he played well, a little too nonchalant around his own box at times. Remember he's played 270 minutes in a week.
Webbo Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 He was poor in the first half hour like the rest of the team but after that I thought he was excellent.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Bottom line he's still our best midfielder atm, but him + 1 is clearly not enough
Jonezy Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 He was by far our best midfielder today and won a lot of battles in the centre. Didn't even notice his poor back track for their 3rd goal, as I was busy swearing Mcguire to all sorts of nasty places...
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Most premier league teams play with three midfielders .. we only play two and his partner in this game was a League two level statue Think any decent midfielder would struggle with this situation.
Max Power Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 It was said Kante did the work of two men in the 4-4-1-1 but Ndidi is doing like 2 and a half because King is a phantom. Hes been perfectly fine. Once he gets some support he'll flourish.
Chico1958 Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 The one constant in the Team this season Ndidi Be careful what you wish for because if he needs rest we're fuched Mcguire left the space for them to run at. Wilfs doing fine generally
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Personally don't think he's had a great start to the season. Passing has been poor and looked better back end of last season for me
TonyN11 Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Quote I would go so far to say that Ndidi is our best player full-stop. There is no way he shouldnt start a game
kingfox Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Anyone slagging him off tonight can do one. 20 years old and we rely on him too heavily. He is a good talented player but he can only do so much, sometimes he's left to cover the midfield by himself but of course he's no Kante. Tonight he doesn't deserve abuse, he deserves praise. After getting booked he kept his discipline and played a blinder, knowing how rash he can be at times he actually played a very mature second half. He won interceptions, he won tackles and he won headers, I thought his forward passing was better too. I don't see many teams relying on a 20 year old to perform week in week out and run their midfield, he really needs an experienced player alongside him, right now he has too much pressure on his shoulders.
