Has Gordon Banks ever been bothered with Leicester since he left?

I've never heard or seen him at any Leicester games, the only time I have ever seen him it's always something to do with Stoke.

He might have won won the World Cup whilst a Leicester player but for me that doesn't make him a legend for us.

He used to be down all the time in the  90s at Filbert Street. Always a great bloke to talk to.

Not sure how recently he's been down, but always speaks well of us.

Christ, what a boring and unimaginative choice.

I was going to make a joke out of it, but I'm really struggling to think of anything more dull.

I remember he was there for the 3-1 vs Everton when we lifted the trophy, he was talking to Kasper before the game.

Absolutely brilliant contribution to this old thread. I agree entirely.

We have a great area to put a statue - right on the concourse area bit (whatever it's called) where we've got the "king power stadium" sign on the corner

Always thought we should have a statue of Steve Walsh wheeling away in celebration at Wembley. Despite everything that has happened in recent years, it's still probably the most iconic LCFC image.

If we are doing Statues it has to be Walsh, he is a legend and always will be.

The risk of doing any of the current squad is that they might do something to piss us all off in the next few years. Imagine if we had erected a statue of CR and then sacked him.

Walsh was Mr Leicester and shouldn't be forgotten. After Walsh you  could have Lineker, Banks, the 2 Arthurs, Graham Cross, but they were mostly before my time.

I don't know if King deserves a statue, but if he retires with this club and in the meantime somehow wins his place back (doesn't go out with a whimper) then give him a statue what he has won with us is unprecedented. You don't get too many one club players and he has scored crucial goals in our League 1, Championship and Premier League titles if he can poke in the winner in the FA Cup final next year then he can definitely have a statue, but he is so hit and miss that it is hard to say he is true legend.

This is the problem none of the title team are legends yet. Kasper is close, likewise Drinkwater and Vardy, a few more great seasons from them and then we can talk legends and statues.

The place I would put the statues would be on that grass roundabout next to the stadium, it's kept nicely and would be perfect positions for statue/s.

As @Ted Maul has said, Steve Walsh vs Derby has got to be one of the most iconic images in our history. I'd like to see that as a statue. It would be nice to incorporate Birchenall as a statue in some way too, given the connection with the club. Thing is, and it's a good thing, there has been many past greats through the years of the club history, so any number of them are worthy of a statue - Black, Chandler, Banks, Shilton etc.

But if we put statues there, where would all the LADS stand after the game shouting at the away fans behind a line of police?

I think we should have a statue/mural at Filbert street. It's so depressing looking at the state of our old home. Would be nice of there was some sort of reminder of what was once there.
