In that respect, that's a mistake that Ranieri made today, Slimani should have started and we should have played to rough them up more. As for the second sentence - nowhere near true. The pitch can change the dynamic and give the lower league side a chance, but by no stretch of the imagination should that mean that the lower league side should always win So conversely a good pitch will bring a lesser side up to the greater sides level? If not, what you're implying is the deck is stacked against all upper level teams playing against lower level teams at their home grounds. Which to me is farcical. Our team played better than Milwall in the first half and seemed to not have trouble with the playing surface, we just couldn't put our chances away. I'll go back and look at the replay but I don't remember Milwall playing hoofball which, if as you suggest, they would have been knowing their own pitch was not conducive to playing on the floor. As to your Ten man argument I tend to agree.
foxfanazer Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 I'm really worried about how long this mess is going to take to sort out. We have so many players that need moving on but their wages will prove a stumbling block for other clubs. First and foremost Claudio needs to go, sooner the better. We need to get some sort of identity back, we've completely lost sight of what this clubs about. I think we are dead and buried as far as relegation is concerned so we need to start putting another 4 or 5 year plan together with a new manager at the helm. I know you have your honour and dignity Vichai and Top but you have to do what's best for our club
foxes67 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 I said it in another post. Most these players don't care now what happens to LCFC as they will just say to the agents next prem league club please.. Although the FA cup is no longer valued and some people saying pitch is a leveller Millwall should of beaten out of sight.. I know Lincoln beat Burnley etc etc I don't care what happens in other games. This team/squad have lost the plot. A new manager and swift kick up the arse to these overpaid players is needed. If they don't want to perform or play for us then they should be replaced. Anybody think these players would relish the battle a Championship season would bring..me thinks not.

FrankieADZ Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 if we sack him, we'll lose money but if we go down we'll lose a hell of a lot more, think either way the club is screwed money wise
frany104 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 The fact he is still manager is a joke. We haven't even looked like scoring a goal never mind loooking like winning a game. He needs to go now for us to stand any chance of staying up. If he stays we won't win another game. Relegation would be an absolute NIGHTMARE financially and with the current situation we have with the over paid players who would want them on these showings!?
VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 He said Millwall played with more desire, he's basically says this about every team we play WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY do they, just fvck off Claudio and take the players with you.
BenTheFox Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 It's gotten to the point where I'd literally take anyone over our title winning manager. How sad is that?
VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 They can all fvck off i've had enough of the lot of them overpaid cvnts.
dannythefox Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 It's goes further than just Ranieri I want Rudkin out and the people around him.The recruitment has cost us big time letting Bigglesworth then Steve Walsh leave at the first sniff from another club is terrible. Walsh is probably the best in the country over the last 4 seasons. We sold Kante straight away first time of asking I mean what other business's would survive if another company got your star employees within a few months? We deserve to fail this season it's our own doing and season ticket holders should get theres free next season paid for by the players. The whole club is in free fall.

splinterdream Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 I try to imagine what would make the owners want to keep Ranieri at the helm; it must be he has a plan and he's explained this plan to them and they believe him. His comments about not FA cup not his top priority, we're the underdogs, it was total nonesense that can only contribute to de-motivate the players. If he says teams are working harder than us and we need to fight and the players aren't responding, he's more or less advertising his inabilities at management
Koke Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Well Claudio, we were supposed to "react" after the last 7 defeats. Are we gonna react when Sevilla put 5 past us? "We can learn. When a team from League One beats the champions we say why and have to react as soon as possible. We are better than Millwall, but Millwall deserved to win."

Frustrating to have gone out, even more so like this, but people acting like it was inconceivable are arrogant to the extreme Dude, this is bullshit. We need to find a way to beat League 1 sides with 10 men. Anything else is utterly pathetic. They should be fvcking ashamed of themselves.
Foxxed Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 "Yeah, after a mildly promising start, we yet again failed to deliver against these dogshit league one opponents, increasing the adject hopelessness among the fans, players and staff, to the point where we now resemble a psychologically maladjusted military unit set on mass suicide." Ranieri, in his post match motivational interview. 2 hours ago, Mickyblueeyes said: That's a desperate quote from a desperately pathetic man. We lose so we take their fight? jim5000 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Ranieri says he needs fighters following the Millwall defeat - “I want to speak again with the players and say we have to fight every match,” said an animated Rainieri. “‘Who wants to fight? Tell me’. I need the soldiers, I need the gladiators, because Millwall, with 10 players, showed they are fantastic gladiators. “It is strange because last season we won for this, to be more determined than the opponent and play with more heart than the opponent. We could also lose but we would fight every match. I want to see this, the fight until the end. “This defeat could be good for us because when you lose against a team who fights, you have to say well done to them but why did we lose?”
China Black Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 How can trying to win another trophy not be a top priority?

Please leave Claudio because you're position is untenable. And how can you "confirm" that exactly? No one is blameless in this mess, and suggesting the people who actually play are not to blame is pretty silly too.

Look, im not defending the indefensible as today was diabolical, but a poor pitch will negate the skill advantage the supposed "better" team has over the lesser team. On a good pitch, the skill differential between the two teams should increase.

foxfanazer Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 I know we've witnessed some dross over the years but somehow this has managed to be my least favourite season supporting Leicester. That's even with the amazing trip to Brugge and seeing Champions League football at the KP. I've never seen us look as clueless as this and put up such little fight. We don't demand the best football or even to win games, as Leicester fans the very least we expect is workrate and desire
Hammo Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 I'm possibly clutching at straws here but maybe the players are as sick and tired of hearing all this tiresome, turgid "we must fight, we must be concentrate" blah blah blah as we fans are and it just washes over them. I know that's pretty indefensible but in these days of sports psychologists and mind gurus maybe a simple thing like the manager actually making a clear and determined effort to widen and improve his (woefully limited) English vocabulary might actually have an impact on those he is trying to motivate. Put some effort in yourself, Claudio, and you may find it pays dividends. You've become as dull and boring as your team.

The owners get everything they deserve if they keep him. Unfortunately for us the owners can sell up at anytime they want & leave. Us fans will be the one's that will be left with the mess they leave behind. The contracts that the players have is frightening, we could easily end up in a mess like Portsmouth. Sack him now and please please give us a slight chance of staying up. Exactly. Our only hope of staying up is getting rid. We'll struggle to make 30pts at this rate, nevermind 40.
