Hotels in Monaco aren't too expensive if you aren't looking for glamour. No more expensive than somewhere like Dublin for the same level of comfort. It's only when the Grand Prix is on that it's unaffordable to anyone who has to work for a living.

Food and drink is another matter though. You won't get a decent meal for less than €30 for grub and €7 a pint.

Also the taxi system is really weird. You can't pre book them. You have to find a special phone on the street to call one and there's only about 20 for the whole town/country. It's not far to walk to the ground from anywhere but it's surprisingly hilly for the most part so if you're an unfit bastard like me, you probably will want to look into finding a bus lol

Don't get me started on french taxis. Weirdest system ever.

Monaco or City are the two most beatable teams there

Any of the three Spanish teams would be tough.

Hope we avoid Bayern and Juventus as could be a cricket score

I don't think we should fear anyone. It'd be nice to save the biggest clubs like Real, Juve, Bayern or Barca for next stages though...

I fear Atletico, not because of our history with them in European competition but because of Simione's nous and their record in Champs League final stages...

Monaco would be our best chance to progress clearly because of their defence - despite their strong performances so far.

Dortmund would be just amazing for this: https://goo.gl/images/hablw7. Definitely my ideal draw in next round.

Really?

more than they needed to give unless 1400 is a UEFA minimum allocation

as far as the dates are concerned, if we are playing Tuesday 11th then Everton will have to be moved from the 9th. Currently a sky game so could they move it back to Saturday? That would mean sky having to move an existing Saturday game to Sunday 4pm. Wonder if sky can swap Spurs v Watford from  the sat noon fixture with our Sunday?? Have a feeling that we will be leaned on by sky to try and get our first leg game on the Wednesday (if we are asked by UEFA for preferred day)

saturday 15th is palace away and there is no game following the second leg as spurs are in the cup semis

Sky have already said they will do that in that circumstance.

Man City had to asked for more, their fans were openly buying tickets in the home ends and had to be refunded.

Heard a funny stat on Football Weekly today.

50% of the quarter finalists have parted company with Ranieri. Leicester, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Monaco.

Dont care who we get..Final here we come.

You lot havent won the lotto, nor the pools..so why pray now that you can hope and foresee the

draw permatations......Too much stress.!!!

The Final is ours, King Dick has been in the background, sifting through all the statistics, getting our spirit

in the right frame...Cutting down and swathing through the sarcastic comments and laughter of the

experts and pundits...He went  undercover trying to find out who was trying to put our dreams on the cutting floor.

We have cried havoc and let slip the plantagents of war...We have the traitorous doubters running once again.....

Wheyhhhheyyyy...charrrrrge... for Kp, the foxes and King Dick!!!!

Put your best teams forward, we face with respect and honour the legends that step forward to  pick up the gauntlet...

and readily take on the challenge, they have been warned...We can still stay humble in our arrogance...:trumpet:..:scarf:,

If we do fall, please  spread and share  our ashes to the currents on the wind at Bradgate park, to be touched by the hoofs of the proud

deer, that the foxes cry of the chase, will be heard through the wings of the swanns, that we can find peace to return to historical

Leicester ethos of our forefathers...Semper eadem until the winding Soar flows once again through our hearts and veins...

Now get on with the bloody draw...

I had a fiver on us at 66-1 before the group stages. Thought we should have been longer odds than that but the bookies obviously learnt their 5000-1 lesson.

Might have another fiver at 33-1 now actually. We've got the belief and momentum so why the fvck not? I genuinely think we can beat anybody in the world on our day at the KP....not sure about away though lol

I put a tenner on at 100/1 back in April. Felt wildly optimistic, but I was getting carried away because I'd also had a fiver on at 150/1 for us to win the league since November. Luckily didn't cash out on that.

If we get Monaco stay in nice its really nice.No its great and only a short ride to Monaco .Don't drop any litter though or you will be locked up for a year .Very interesting places to visit

I want Monaco or Dortmund. Next along the line would be Juventus and Atletico worst of course would be real, Bayern and barca.

Posted

Don't really care who we get.  Would prefer the away leg first.  Bayern Munich would be the worst draw for progression prospects.

Posted

I'd prefer to avoid Bayern and Juventus but whoever we get we'll be big underdogs.

Whatever the likes of Buffon and Zidane say the other seven will be hoping to pull out us,

My ideal draw:

Bayern Munich vs Barcelona

Real Madrid vs Juventus

Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

Monaco vs Leicester

That'd be ideal. Monaco with first leg being away.

I fear Barcelona and Bayern will humiliate us. Monaco And Dortmund are same level as Sevilla so we have a chance.

Not suggesting for one second that we will win the tournament, but if we pulled off the impossible dream I'd rather be known as a team that won the tournament by beating the likes of Barca, than one that won the Cup by beating Malmo.

Does anyone care that Forest only beat Malmo?

I'd suggest nobody remembers the losers.

First team out plays home leg first...tie 1 and 2 are played first night, tie 3 and 4 second night. So if we are in match 1 or 2 and the draw goes LCFC v Dortmund, we play home v Dortmund on 11th April, and away 18th April. If we are match 3 or 4 and draw is Dortmund v LCFC we are away in Germany on 12th and home on 19th.

99% sure that is how it works from review of UEFA rules, and seems correct from last 16 draw.

Some of the more recent postings seem to contradict this and appears will be a few hours post the draw until we can be certain on which of the match days the ties will be on?

The first team out in the tie bit is defo correct as that's confirmed on the UEFA website.

Yeh cos I'm a Leicester fan who probably looked it up when they took the piss out of us for only beating Tranmere.

You don't hear Don Goodman going on about it when he talks about Forest and Leeds being heavyweights in the championship.

Dortmund or Juventus for me, just loved watching both of them teams growing up, can remember trying to copy the likes of Andreas Moller and Del Piero on many occasions when playing Sunday league.
