Just got back to Suffolk and heard some of the deluded Spurs fans believing they are chasing down Chelsea.....

As a former Newcastle manager once said I would love it if they come to us later in the season and we can scupper them again for the second season running!!

Why? After last season? Hazard?

I'd love Chelsea to win it

Sorry but I can't see the humour in Spurs winning it whereas Spurs getting within a few points and then bottling it again would be soooo funny

So what.

Our title challenge with Spurs was last season. They are a better team than us with better players, hence why they are in a title race again.

They are Chelsea's closest challengers and if their fans believe they can close the gap then so be it. I don't particularly care who wins the league because it's not us.

"We're coming for you, we're coming for you, Chelsea b**tards we're coming for you."

So will sing the supporters of the team that again will finish third in a two-horse race! :P

It's got to the point now where if Chelski lost it from their position the memes will be dank as dank.

partly because its chelsea, and regardless of whatever it is people think chelsea did for us last season (which is nothing we walked the league) i will never like chelsea. but also because i like this narrative of many different teams winning the prem, if spurs win it it will mean 5 different teams in five years have won it... mental. although i do also hate spurs, and i would like to see kante win it again, i would marginally prefer spurs. although, i would also like to be the team that finishes off their hopes.

Not for me. Kanté going there has unintentionally made them my 2nd team.

It's much of muchness ain't it really. I'd certainly normally hate Chelsea more than Spurs naturally, as a Leicester fan with some idea of longer term history, but last season a lot of Spurs fans were deplorable.

The hazard goal was a memorable moment and all but Chelsea didn't win us that league, they might have put the final one in but Tony Pulis probably put more nails in that particular coffin. Ultimately we won it and we won't it by a canter.

Find it funny the amount of people that have turned coat with Kante, as well while we're at it. Gone from 80% of the board wanting him to suffer a career threatening injury and have his face spray pained over on king Richards road to wanting him to win the league just because he showed up to watch us play once.

I don't care who wins it, personally I think Chelsea deserve it ATM but if they piss their lead away and Spurs manage it with some very serious injury problems fair play to them, if they manage they will certainly have earnt it.

Don't really care to be honest, guess we owe Chelsea a favour but it's over for me. We bettered them in the league last year and in the Champion's League this year. Nothing left to see.

My question is, if they were to lose out again this year, would they retain all their big names again? With how poor their Champion's League campaign was can they hope for much better next season?

Dream scenario:

We reach the Champions League semis, which means we can only play Spurs in that final week before the Bournemouth game. Spurs need to beat us to take the title race to the final day. They lead 2-0 at halftime. We come back to draw 2-2 with a late Vardy screamer and hand Chelsea the title. Celebrating City fans hold up 'this one's for N'Golo' placards and chant 'Premier League champions - you'll never sing that!' Spurs then lose 5-1 at already relegated Hull in their final game and Man City and a resurgent Arsenal relegate them to fourth place.

postscript - we win the Champions League and Spurs drop into the Europa League.

Stranger things have happened...

Blah blah blah. Logic and reason never wins.

I hate Spurs with a passion, always have.

I'd love them to close the gap on Chelsea and come here in the penultimate game of the season needing to beat us to stay in contention and we return the favour to Chelsea and similar scenes with our fans celebrating it like the Chelsea fans were last season. :)

I couldn't care less who wins it, I only ever take notice of who is around us in the table. This time last year I could have reeled off Spurs remaining fixtures as easily as ours, now they're too far off my radar for me to be interested, and the same goes for the others in the top 6.
