But as I said it was from a Chelsea fan and may be bollox. As for the one release clause Kante he and his agent insisted on it. Would you rather we never signed him? Was it a mistakes turn 5m into 30+m in one season. We had seen something in him but no one else had. Had the big clubs been in for him we would never have got him. Legal requirement to have a release clause in Spain, suspect it is elsewhere too. We didn't want him on loan, I agree we shouldn't be a club to prepare players for the top 6 anyway so I'm quite happy. If we negotiated and they wouldn't sell that's just how it is.
