sdb Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Great half for a neutral but some serious defensive lapses here. Athletico will be licking their lips at some of our marking.
Matt Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Entertaining and good for the neutral but not through too much quality, looks like battle of who has the shakiest defence.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Defending been terrible Benny and Huth from corners look woeful
Sharpe's Fox Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Don't care about this game we are champions league man wake up
matty98 Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Not sure why people are blaming the defence, it's not just that, like earlier in the season we're under constant pressure, constant pressure leads to goals no matter how good your defence is.

seenitall Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Danger here is that we get mullered and that is what we take into Weds - could be Shakey's first big clanger
chapero82 Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 This game makes you appreciate how important Fuchs, Simpson and Ndidi actually are
Jacafox Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Ndidi precautionary rested, due to slight groin problem.
Webbo Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 We're lucky to be still in this. We don't seem to be winning any of the 50/50 balls which makes me think the players have their mind on Wednesday and are trying not to get injured.
FoxinNotts Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Well! I think we have another goal in us, butvim I'm guessing they have too ?
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Well despite the wangfest of Tyler, that half was poor. Drinkwater is a disaster waiting to happen, King is as expected. Amartey just ball watches and the centre backs were nowhere for the goals. Shakey needs to sort this in the interval. Despite the changes, this is up there with the sunset days of Claudio.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 After this first half it could go either way
Vacamion Posted 9 April 2017 Posted 9 April 2017 Well, that 48 minutes fair flew by, eh? We can still have these. COYB.

Its very very very dodgy. Too many changes in one area, an area that is built on stability. Plus the King-Drinky midfield has never protected the defence that well. Should have started Simpson at RB and Amartey in midfield.

True. They've not been great but Everton can pretty much walk through our midfield.

Haven't read the previous pages as watching the game but benny could be said to have had a hand in each goal (as have others) missed tackle on miralles he she should have been picking up lukaku as huth took the front post looked like he was marking jagiekla at the corner incidentally, as pointed out to me by my son, this is the first league game in our three season seasons back in the prem post Xmas where we're not that bothered about the result,.
