At fear of being labelled a 'hater' again on this sometimes ridiculous forum, our back four today frightens the Hell out of me.

Its very very very dodgy.

Great half for a neutral but some serious defensive lapses here. Athletico will be licking their lips at some of our marking.

Entertaining and good for the neutral but not through too much quality, looks like battle of who has the shakiest defence.

Not sure why people are blaming the defence, it's not just that, like earlier in the season we're under constant pressure, constant pressure leads to goals no matter how good your defence is.

This is why I am fine with us bringing in a top class CM this Summer. King rarely works in a two.

I'd genuinely forgot King was even on the pitch

We're lucky to be still in this. We don't seem to be winning any of the 50/50 balls which makes me think the players have their mind on Wednesday and are trying not to get injured.

Well despite the wangfest of Tyler, that half was poor. Drinkwater is a disaster waiting to happen, King is as expected. Amartey just ball watches and the centre backs were nowhere for the goals. Shakey needs to sort this in the interval. Despite the changes, this is up there with the sunset days of Claudio.

Too many changes in one area, an area that is built on stability. Plus the King-Drinky midfield has never protected the defence that well. Should have started Simpson at RB and Amartey in midfield.

True. They've not been great but Everton can pretty much walk through our midfield.

Based on 1 game compared to his other performances? Go away.

Haven't read the previous pages as watching the game but benny could be said to have had a hand in each goal (as have others)

missed tackle on miralles

he she should have been picking up lukaku as huth took the front post

looked like he was marking jagiekla at the corner

incidentally, as pointed out to me by my son, this is the first league game in our three season seasons  back in the prem post Xmas where we're not that bothered about the result,.

This game makes you appreciate how important Fuchs, Simpson and Ndidi actually are

I think we knew that already.  Could do without the reminder
