Why do we never sing about our League 1 win. Everton have never done that.

But that's old fashioned Association Football with different offside rules, fat alcoholics playing in the top league, managers actually putting down roots in an area and kits going three years before being changed, not super sexy ultra jazzy Super douper premier league super soccer the birth of all sport, played by athletes and watched by...fat alcoholics.

To be fair the YNWA wound a fair few up, no idea why some started singing it, as for the league titles you should be used to it now, some muppets have sang it all season to clubs who have won it, it just shows their mentality,

Back in the day YNWA was sang by loads of clubs, not sure why Liverpool should own it, especially as Celtic give it much more of a passionate rendition these days.

Ridiculous post. I was at the game and thought it was pretty funny. It actually got a reaction out of them boring twat Everton fans. If your team is losing what do you do? Leave early? Sit there moaning? Or antagonise the opposition fans? I prefer the 3rd option. Don't give a shit if it's another teams song, all songs we sing are done by other teams in different ways. And anyone who comments on this that wasn't even at the game can **** right off. I was at the game and thought our fans were great today

Some teams that have won it before (Sunderland for example) I get singing it to them. They haven't sang about how they're the champions. Everton who have fans that have lived through it. I don't get it.

The YNWA chant is just embarressing, we should be singing you'll never win League 1 or the Championship and remember were we have come from, better to get at opposition fans with humour rather than being embarressing

I (obviously) didn't start YNWA and I didn't join in but having been there, in defence of those that did, it got a sizable reaction out of a lot of the everton fans in the stand next to us.

 

They were statues for most of the game.

 

"Our fanbase" were pretty good today and going to places like Anfield and Goodison makes me appreciate how good we are at home too.

Was it actually "you'll never sing that" or was it "we'll sing it till May/we know what we are"? 

 

None are great but at least the last two are correct.

People are aware of that. At this moment in time I think it's just sung to rustle other fans. People (other fans) get weirdly triggered by it. People got really angry that LCFC fans sung it to Sevilla. Very bizarre people out there who get butt hurt over a mediocre chant.
