At this stage of the season 8 is realistically insurmountable, particularly with the goal difference. People still looking over their shoulders are being unbelievably pessimistic. Worst case scenario today - we lose, Swansea and Hull win. We're still 5 points clear with Swansea having 15 to play for. With our goal difference being 18 better at the start of play, they've got to make up 6 points in 5 games. We've got two winnable home games (watford and Bournemouth) - results from those and they can only afford to drop 3 points between now and the end of the season. Mathematically we might not be safe but realistically we are.

Dealt with Koke and Gabi and let Ndidi deal with Griezmann and we were fine afterwards. The first half was a bit of a mess. Er, yes, when we had three central midfielders we did a better job of containing them than when we had two. This doesn't mean King isn't largely out of his depth when he is playing as part of a two. He just doesn't have the athleticism to play in that midfield the way we play. Not if we want to kick on and get back in to the top half.
MC Prussian Posted 15 April 2017 Posted 15 April 2017 WHAT A GOAL!! Hit them right on the counter and there's the 2-0. HAHAHAHA! Terrible display from us so far and still score against the run of play, sign of champions!!
