He had a good thing going with us and swapped it for more dosh and prestige. Yes I know about the "living closer to family" thing and don't believe a word of it. I thought there was friction between him and Claudio. A lucrative move to a bigger club away from a manager who didn't want to work with him and would likely be manager for a few years given he's just delivered the premier league title.

They've spent nearly 390m in three transfer windows under him ffs. It's par for the course now though with any manager at the big clubs, Man City's team last year was terrible for what it should be and that's partly Pep's fault but it's not as if he does the negotiating. I've had the impression that the media here has almost wanted Pep to fail so they can be jingoistic about The Best League In The World™️and the 'they don't like it up em' culture so it can be hailed as a defeat for Guardiola and a win for British football. United's spending has been worse in my opinion only for them to finish sixth last season too (although in the whole it was a successful season). The overriding sentiment is that to catch up with Europe's elite sides English teams to be better coached and get better players in, City have done that now. 1
Wymsey Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Would rather start Carroll than Arnautovic. You don't know what to expect, in terms of attitude, and he's a player who is a red-card waiting to happen at some point.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Should be a good game, hopefully West Ham beat them. Rangers/Celtic is getting a bit feisty now so I hope I don't regret switching to the West Ham game.

But ones a central striker, the other is wide player, completely different players. If Bilic wants a front three he's got to pick between Hernandez and Carroll down the middle and neither can play out wide, meaning someone like Arnautovic will fill that wide role.

And to prove the point, now Antonio is going off it looks like Carroll is replacing him, meaning Hernandez will be shoved out wide, which is really not where Bilic wants him.
The Guvnor Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 If Spurs can adapt quickly to Wembley they must be real title contenders, Kane is the real deal now, what a talent he has become.
TheMightySystem Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 When you want Kane to score again for your premier league fantasy team but you want to keep the score 2-0 as that's what you predicted in superbru.

They are good but I don't see them touching the 2 Manc clubs. But you have to admire Tottenham for even being in the conversation despite being outspent by over £100m
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Does Slaven finally get his marching orders today?

davieG Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Spurs getting the benefit of the referee's doubt again, no surprise there then.

I've always liked Kouyate and Chicarito for instance. But they all short of confidence.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 Can't believe Kane, went from complete sh*t with us to one of the best in the world unreal
Guest Posted 23 September 2017 Posted 23 September 2017 watching this on BEIN. Pleat is commentating. Hate the man - feel sick when he opens his mouth. Disaster for Leicester who should have aplogised to us all.
