Jimothy Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Just as I was starting to be slightly impressed with Everton's summer transfer dealings they go and drop a massive bollock by signing Rooney. 1
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Good signing if they want to keep the bench warm
jammie82uk Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 I hope we don't start doing this as it takes long enough to announce signings now
Tuna Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 (edited) Everton's relentless signing spree continues, this time poaching the best player from Farsley Celtic. As a coach. http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/northern-premier-league-premier/farsley-blow-nightingale-joins-everton/ Edited 9 July 2017 by Tuna
BenTheFox Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 I know it's too early to start discussing relegation candidates, but meh. My three at the moment are Burnley, Brighton and Huddersfield. Newcastle are a candidate as I can see Rafa walking if their summer business doesn't according to plan.

Huddersfield have made a few decent signings. Out of those 3, I most fancy them to have a chance at staying up. 1

They easily play the best football out of those three, but I think Burnley have a manager that is happier to sit ten behind the ball and grind out results. That gets you somewhere when you haven't got the biggest budget. I hope Huddersfield stay up though.

Foxxed Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 After reading about Huddersfield's manager and what they've achieved I really warmed to them. Looking forward to them upsetting a few of the more established teams... but hopefully not us... and staying up. 1
m4DD0gg Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 The bbc football website section is literally jizzing over this rooney transfer. 6 different articles on the pot noodle granny shagger. 1

Yeah this quote was only last month, apparently can't compete with teams in the championship Dyche said: ‘We’ve never been market leaders financially. We have money but the club can’t be thrown under the bus, it has to be managed wisely. 'When you’re talking about the Premier League and half the Championship, the reality is you’ve got people who own the clubs who have hundreds and hundreds of millions. We haven’t. ‘Most of my board members are very wealthy in my lifetime but not in terms of owning Premier League clubs. It’s not just the TV money – they’ll support it beyond the TV money. ‘The board want to run it as a business concern as well as have a football club and have it in good shape.’

I agree, plus their coach is excellent. It will be hard for them but I think they will be the most motivated and will bring something different to the league.
Dan Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 I do like Huddersfield and always have done but I'm already dreading the wankfest when they play Liverpool. 3
EnglishOxide Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 I'd love it if Koeman could get Rooney to even 90% of the player he was. I would like him playing behind Kane or Vardy for England if that happens. I'd like to think he's been so shit for ages because Moyes, van Gaal and Mourinho aren't the most attacking of managers and have simply mismanaged him. You lose your physical attributes as you age, which Rooney has, but you shouldn't lose your technical ability, eye for goal, ability to trap the ball, etc which for some reason he had appeared to. If Koeman can revitalise him for a couple of years it would be brilliant. 2
Jattdogg Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Moyes back to everton when they are found out 15 games in?
