Blue717 Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Arsenal, a 'fiercely ambitious' club with every chance of winning both the premier and champions league.

Makes u look like a little kid crying over a cookie. Why not be classy and positive and wish good for everyone? ... Too bad. We have a saying that goes something like this: when the wolf can't reach for the grapes , they say it's lame and ain't sweet. Must thank the real gentlemen fans in here though. Had to come from an Algerian, didn't it? There is no "hate" for Mahrez - there is, however, a certain disrespect with regards to how he spat his dummy out before the transfer window, forcing a move. I'll always treasure the Mahrez of 2015/2016 and his impact in the Championship, as well as in our first season back in the top flight. His recent behaviour, coupled with his lacklustre performances in the league last season, have damaged his reputation somewhat. I'll be forever thankful for what he did at Leicester, but it's a team game and you win or lose together. Despite his individual genius, he's still lacking teamwork and consistency. I wish him well, but won't shed overly a tear over his departure and I'll be happy to see the back of many an Algerian Leicester "fan" who only contribute when Mahrez or Slimani are discussed.

He could have given us one more year easily. Mahrez stayed with us to see what we could achieve in the CL, if we'd have built better on last year he may have stayed this year but he definately deserves credit for not only staying with us when he could have easily left but also signing a bumper deal meaning we could demand a decent fee this year. No he ****ing does not. He only stayed for the £100,000 a week and the CL. Yet only deemed it necessary to put the effort in for the latter. His performances as a whole last season in the PL were a disgrace for someone of this ability showing total disrespect for his team mates, fans and the Club as a whole. His statement saying he wanted to go are completely at odds with showing the club respect;in one swoop weakening the club's hand in any fee negotiations. Whilst I appreciate he was one of the three pivotal players that enabled us to win the title, his attitude this year both on and off the pitch has sullied what should have been a totally positive legacy.

Lionator Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 I think he's realised that that's the best he could do. Shame for him as I thought he could do better.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Is there any credible source reporting this? So far, Sportsbible, some guy whose freelance and The Sun.
Chico1958 Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 The end is nigh................ best of luck to the guy. That one season was amazing and I for one thank him, Claudio and the rest of the players for that one year that made me realise dreams can come true He like Vardy and others could have taken the money and run last year. He didn't.......... now it's time for him to follow his dream A little gem from the Mancs................ We'll be fine Ps: I'm welsh butty

Russell sprout Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 How the tables turn,I often criticised mahrez last season, and still do,makes me laugh that others who shot me down for daring to question his performances are now echoing what myself and the 'minority' have already said since he's openly admitted to wanting out

Arsenal would rather buy lemar. This publicity could be their way of trying to force monaco's hand. The fact that djellit didn't give the rumour any credence makes me think there isn't much in it. However, if they feel they won't get lemar then they may move quickly to secure riyad. So so let's pull back a bit from the abuse - he could well be playing the first game of he season at the emirates .............. but not for the arse !!

Wortho Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 I hope afc offer £40m and Riyad turns them down and stays, just like Vards did.
HighPeakFox Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 I'll tell you what's embarrassing. That so many of you react whenever a tabloid or twitter so much as burps.
Wymsey Posted 2 July 2017 Posted 2 July 2017 Reckon Arsenal have made a bid, below LCFC's valuation, and Arsenal are refusing to up their offer.

Completely agree. Until one of the decent sources we're aware of says otherwise, this is all just speculation. So can everybody please stop getting their knickers in a twist, and instead head over to the Gibson thread in Transfer Talk to stare at pictures of Rudders on his hollybobs.
