Really big signing for us in more ways than one. Looked class towards the end of last season and at 24 he has his best years ahead of him.

 

He'll be skipper here within 2 years.

Personally I think this is the best signing we've had for a while. 

 

A) we've finally bought a player in a position that actually needs strengthening and 

 

B) a signing driven by proven experience at this level rather than hopeful anticipation of what they may bring. 

 

Very happy, a very good signing at a good price in my opinion.

All central defenders should be big, nasty, growly, ugly fookers ...   part and parcel of the position and intimidates ponsy forwards ..     :thumbup:

Can't say I've watched or know a lot about him but happy with what I've read.

 

Glad to see us doing business early, I just hope we do more early on.

 

It seems to have gone through pretty quick, easy (for a change!), he's young, English and I don't think we've had our pants pulled down taking all of that into account.

 

As I've said we need more but this is a good start!
