ARM1968 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Just as likely an FA fuch up. We aren't alone in incompetence, just masters of it.
DatfoxesKid23 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 we ****ed up with transfers last year and we've done it again this year with deadline day complications
Collymore Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 So did everybody have that feeling of despair when they woke up this morning, opened up Foxestalk, saw the Drinkwater had left thread and then frantically scanned down the thread list looking for "Silva Signs"
Nick Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Hold up was because of Ulloa refusing to give over his 23 shirt and so Silva heading back to Sporting.
MrLuke Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Clearly the only reason for the delay is so we can announce him via some wanky 30 second twitter video. Bring back the old days when you made them hold up an scarf and snapped it on your phone.

Why on earth would he sign up a player the manager doesn't want to sign up. You're just using it as another lame excuse to bash people. i will ask Slavin Bilic for his views. As 'bash people'!!! Coming from you that is a laughable statement. Anyways I am done responding to you.
Chrysalis Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 2 minutes ago, Babylon said: You do realise the transfer can still be ratified don't you? does that make it ok then? Clubs should set deadline on players leaving X days before end of window, meaning they have enough time to close deal on inbound player "comfortably".

filbertway Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Just now, Babylon said: Errr because we only wanted him if we lost a player, you don't stock pile players on the off chance. Do you think it was a good idea to leave it this late to do dealing? I don't know if we did or didn't, but we should have made it clear to certain players they won't be in our plans and they should be looking for other clubs. Even if it means selling at below what we would value them at. Then we can bring in upgrades. As exciting as deadline day can be, I'd never want my club to be involved in it. It smacks of poor planning to me. Make it very clear to all clubs and our players that they have till the first weekend of August to be moved on. After that, if you're planned to be part of the team then you're stuck till January. I think we did that with Mahrez actually, we set a cut off of 11th August? Though he still seemed to be under the impression that a move was viable so I have no idea if we would have enforced that if an offer came in. Anyway, I expect Silva to be announced at some point today or tomorrow. I just don't know why we waited till yesterday to pull our fingers out our arses and actually make something happen.
lcfcdamo Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 I've never saw nothing like this it has to be are club dont it has to happen

CosbehFox Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 2 minutes ago, filbertway said: Do you think it was a good idea to leave it this late to do dealing? Well it was all dependent on getting Chelsea to splash the cash. The later the Drinkwater deal carried on, the more money we got. At same time, we had to make sure a replacement was going to be sorted.
