Grebfromgrebland Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 This is done.....I think.. Leicester still trying to finalise Silva deal Leicester are believed to have secured the services of Sporting Lisbon’s Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon. The Portugal international left the side’s international training camp to finalise the deal, which is rumoured to be worth £26m, and is expected to be announced later on Friday. The Foxes did manage to strengthen their rearguard before the deadline, with no-nonsense centre-back Aleksander Dragovic joining the club on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen. Earlier on deadline day, the Foxes let Danny Drinkwater go to Chelsea for £35m, and also released Nampalys Mendy on loan to Nice. matty98 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Surely we'd have announced it by now if it was done?
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Wishing isn't going to change anything. Don't see it listed as a done deal anywhere right now but given his time at Sporting maybe he wants an input in the timing of the announcement out of respect to the fans and the Club. Hope it is through as he would be a welcome addition to our squad/team.

The later the Drinkwater deal carried on, the more money we got. At same time, we had to make sure a replacement was going to be sorted. This is why Arsenal pulled the plug on the Sanchez to Man City deal, despite having a bid for Lemar accepted It was too late for all the dominoes to fall & Arsenal potentially lose a player without having a replacement As the fee for Sanchez & for Lemar had been agreed in the afternoon, it was further progressed than our deals where a price wasn't even agreed after the deadline We /MAY/ have monumentally ****ed up here

No exceptions, no bullshits of ' tranfers is already in works so more 1 or 2 hours to finish. Countries that didn't comply would be excluded from UEFA Champions League and Europa league.

Babylon Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 7 minutes ago, Chrysalis said: does that make it ok then? Clubs should set deadline on players leaving X days before end of window, meaning they have enough time to close deal on inbound player "comfortably". If he signs, yes it does make it ok. You said we had two months to sign Silva, we didn't. It was one or the other and not both, we had little choice to have it all last minute because Chelsea were leaving it all last minute and that rebounds onto our dealings. Setting your own deadlines is fine, but when you have players wanting out, handing in transfer requests it's not that easy.

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 Not going to look at the youtube highlights until he's confirmed. If he doesn't sign and he looks brilliant on youtube will be even madder with Judas Rudkin
DatfoxesKid23 Posted 1 September 2017 Posted 1 September 2017 maybe it is just image rights in which case they can't announce him but he would be signed
