Think this phrase NOT A SELLING CLUB really needs to be re-thought after all if Barcelona are now a selling club we are in good company

Valid point indeed. But then the Club need to be careful about the accuracy of the propaganda they feed the fans.

You taking the piss lol

I saw him twice at Villa Park and he was the best player on the pitch. I suggest you watch some you tube video of him an then tell me I'm taking the piss. Man City didn't buy him because he was sh*t

It's not about being a "selling club". All clubs are selling clubs for the right offer.

Drinkwater isn't irreplaceable, if we got an offer that we considered far exceeded his worth then it's good business to sell.

The reality is that if a pmayer wants to go then clubs have to get the best price they can.  I dont like it. Players should honour their contracts in return fir the wages.

Prem experience is key.... and we will never be top six if we allow the big clubs to nick out best players.

Dd is not easily replaceable

We'll probably never be top six club anyway. Most of them generate five times as much money as us.

Is Drinkwater a top six player anyway? That's very much debatable.

This isn't about ambition, it's about good business. I'm as ambitious for Leicester as anybody. I've already said I'd keep Drinkwater at £25m but for £35m I'd sell.

Just been told by a 'source' that we are in for Nzonzi with Drinkwater on the way out. Any truth in this @LinekersApples

If we could get Nzonzi that would be brilliant and Drinkwater wants to go! once one player goes the other big players may want to leave or at least make some noises about it!

Big players?. Wes, Musa, Slim, Mendy, King?

Nzonzi was supposed to be going to juventus in the window

this has clearly not happened

i absolutely cannot believe that he would be prepared to come here - there must be plenty of clubs across Europe who would be able to pay him a six figure salary who are a better option re winning trophies and playing CL

Juve are about to sign Matuidi so that might mean they've sacked Nzonzi off.

If we sign Nzonzi we should be fighting with Everton this season. I can't see it happening though.

Don't know about Nzonzi but I was told, as posted earlier in this thread that Drinkwater's head had been turned and he wanted the move.

Is that why DD didn't play on Friday night because he wants a move away from the KP or is he genuinely injured

lol All this talk about N'Zonzi, Adrien Silva & Carvalho and we settle for Delph.

The talk is on here though, we could talk about Messi while in league 1 and it's all irrelevant.

So now we are a 'selling' Club?. Last week I recall Shakey we were not. This master plan is very confusing.

Simple, If a player wants to leave they leave for the right price for us.

No. We need strength in depth. Last season we really, really struggled in midfield; Kante was a huge loss however once DD was injured we were left to rely on either King or Amartey - neither of whom could cope with the demand we place on our CMs due to the way in which we play. Now we've strengthened and added Iborra, alongside a (nearly fit) James, we have 4 midfielders who all add something different when playing. We're going to need all four considering the cup competitions and we would be foolish to let Drinkwater go for an amount that's low considering the current market. Drinkwater has a hell of a lot to do this year if he wants to make the England squad and strikes me as the type to dig deep and do his best. On his day he's a first class Premier League midfielder - who would not be cheap to replace.

And if the Price is too low, we just keep them then regardless of whether they want to leave or not. That's good news.
