Has anything concrete happened?

Owners decided not to expand the Stadium.

I wish people would stop bringing those stats up. Can be used for anything.

There's no indication of the opposition. One player could be better in the bigger games. I dunno.

He makes Mendy look bulletproof!..

As I said, could go either way lol. £8m though...

Firstly we don't have to be without either. We actually need them both.

Secondly stats can be interpreted in many ways. didn't you hear that Mahrez was the 20th hardest working player in the Prem last weekend.

Firstly I never said we did, we were discussing who we thought was better.

Secondly, he wasn't in the top 20 hardest working. It was 20 who covered most ground. One does not equal the other and it's a far more meaningless stat than those posted.

Interesting.

DD was decent early last season but turned to shit later on.

He was injured though?

I'd rather not sell him, I'm just arguing the fact people seem to think we aren't capable of signing a replacement when we've picked up several good CM's.

When did Ndidi get an assist? I can't figure it out.

I seem to remember him heading or laying it back for DD to score?!? Or am I dreaming that.

May be you should read my original post before going off at tangents. I merely commented that Shakey said in public we are not a selling club. Fuching Rudkin is paid to recruit not me.. Give him a call and ask him the question you asked me.

I'm not going off on a tangent but I did read it, Shakey can say what he wants but if a player wants out and is wanted by a club offering better prospects then we can't compete unfortunately, that's my point.

Re rudkin... hes an easy target.... but i have met him and was unimpressed.  Are we now a prem club with a championship dof?

we seem to be pulled all over the park by players, agents and other clubs.

Managing talent and keeping every happy and focuessed is key in most organisations. ... we need to put the right terms in place and win respect if those we deal with....

Last year we did well with ndidi and not so well with others... getting value for about £1 in every 6 we spent.  If i was incharge of that i would resign.

Top.... the money u spend will be impacted by the value added or lost by your key managers.... get a professional team in

Well only Kanté of that 3 are better than Drinkwater but again they don't play the same game.

N'didi may become a better player but he makes a lot more errors than DD at the moment.

Drinkwater's been a brilliant servant but it's a long time since he's been in the consistent form of our Premiership title season.

Whether his body's feeling the pace or he needs the stimulus of mental recharging I don't know, but really should have anticipated a potential move for him and be well aware of where we might find not only a replacement but perhaps even a better player,.

Despite his immense popularity here Drinkwater, while always combative, has serious limitations as a central midfield player which might be improved at a club full of top-end talent like Chelsea, but would likely not get better through the approach we have here.

Drinkater doesn't score or make many goals so our task is straightforward if he leaves (and even if he doesn't in my view) and that is to find a pacey, terrier-type midfielder who can pass and shoot.

All four qualities should be a given for any senior recruit outside the back four but, sadly, they don't seem to be. Yet anything less would likely be a waste of money.

This is a very good summary of exactly where we are.

Should stick to Uber.  Could have saved us a few hundred pages of rubbish.

Just been told by a 'source' that we are in for Nzonzi with Drinkwater on the way out. Any truth in this @LinekersApples

If true, it might not be a bad deal at all. I'd still keep DD if possible.

Drinky looking very likely to go.

Long term interest in Nzonzi, but player wants European football.

We're fvcked then. Great.

Edit: He can say goodbye to the WC though.

Desperately hoping he'll stat. Not his fault he played doggo for most of last season - he'd lost an arm (Kante) for the first half and was injured for the second.

If he does go, I'm hoping we're aiming really high for his replacement. Well, really south actually, to Sporting Lisbon...

I think Drinky would quickly establish himself in Chelsea's first XI along side Kante as their only other options are Fabregas who is getting on abit and had disiplinary issues and Bakayoko who has only had 1 good season in a poor league.

Typical arrogance born from ignorance. For anyone who saw him play with Monaco more than once, Bakayoko is a monster. As for Fabregas, no fvcking comment.

Yeah cuz he was a first choice for England in Euro 2016 after we won the league wasn't he?! Sadly he's probably more likely to be in the England squad as a second choice Chelsea player than a first choice Leicester one!
