Not at the start of the window but If you look back at our subsequent activity (buying Iborra but no one else creative re mahrez) then perhaps you could understand that the club have felt this is the likely route for a long time. our nett spend could end up very weak if we take in 30m+ for DD and buy no one else of note. If we assume that the club are expecting him to go and have done for a while, we had better have someone lined up to do the ratting around drinky did and take responsibility for dealing with the ball at the base of midfield. Can we assume Iborra will be able to do this? Will he even be fit enough. for me, there weren't enough positive signs from pre season in this respect. Very concerned now. it's not about signing a player this late in the window. Good ones will only be allowed to come if the selling club can find a replacement and time is short for them and the others down the chain.
Jattdogg Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 Only place mahrez is going to is Asda to buy some tissues

mozartfox Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 Interesting that reports in the Italian press are claiming that Mahrez's Agent mislead Plonker Monchi over the price we wanted for RM. It seems his Agents told them an offer 37m Euros should be enough for this 'Agent' to talk LCFC around into accepting? Mahrez does really need an up grade Agent wise. This current one has dropped him in the dog poo good and proper.

dpjfox Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 Arsenal or Lierpool will get him but id have sold him to a club abroad for a slightly cheaper price
Wymsey Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 Him staying would give the team the mental belief that Mahrez himself feels the team, overall, is capable of doing great this season (such as winning a trophy). It may be that he now regrets publically asking to leave after realising transfers away can take longer than anticipated and may even never happen at all.

He wants to leave, nobody wants him and he therefore has to stay. But he still wants to leave. Unless he makes another public statement before the end of the window closes saying that he believes in the team and he wants to fight tooth and nail to get us back in the Champions League or similar, then at no point will the rest of the team have any "mental belief" that because he has stayed he must want to win trophies here. He wants out and he will go I am almost sure of it. We won't get £50m for him but can see us cutting the price as the end of the window draws closer.

That's the dumbest news I have ever heard
blueharmie Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 I saw mahrez once at around 10:30pm at Oadby asda a year and abit ago.
Long Eaton Fox Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 I hope now that Mahrez realises that no club want him for the price Leicester require and the only way he will get his dream move, which he was promised, is for him to play out of his skin for the next 12 months. From now on it can only be win win. Top 8 then top money.

dylanlegend Posted 17 August 2017 Posted 17 August 2017 If Mahrez scores 4 goals in the next 2 games then someone will panic buy him. If he continues to play turd he's going nowhere
Almo-Fox Posted 18 August 2017 Posted 18 August 2017 He looks happy at the training today But may be a good idea if CS benches him on Brighton Leicester Saturday and plays gray that will make him rethink about himself but doubt that CS will go that way Football is so complicated with the seen and the unseen

He can drive down his price until it reaches such a level a top 6 team will take a punt on him.

And to answer your question, I personally have no idea what the Club has told Roma.
